Deze tour is uniek omdat je zult genieten van een zorgvuldig geselecteerde nieuwe Mexicaanse eetervaring. Ervaar nieuw Mexicaans eten en ontdek enkele van de beste foodie-plekken in de buurt van het Santa Fe Plaza. Tijdens de tour leer je ook over de geschiedenis van Santa Fe, het eten, de cultuur en historische bezienswaardigheden zoals het Paleis van de Gouverneurs, de San Miguel Mission (de oudste kerkstructuur in de VS) en The Loretto Kapel (thuisbasis van de wonderbaarlijke trap). Deze informele tour omvat een volledige lunch, niet-alcoholische dranken, alcoholcombinaties (zoals wijn, margarita's of lokale bieren), evenals een dessert. **OPMERKING** Deze tour bevat nieuwe Mexicaans geïnspireerde gerechten en kan voor sommige gasten pittig zijn. Je zult het hart van Santa Fe zien, waar de stad begon, terwijl je een korte introductie geschiedenis verzamelt.
Terwijl we naar onze eerste stop wandelen, zien we de basiliek die in 1866 is gebouwd.
Tijdens onze introductiepraat zijn we op het plein, recht tegenover het Paleis van de Gouverneurs, het oudste openbare gebouw in de VS.
We stoppen en vertellen het verhaal van de Miraculeuse Trap die in 1888 werd gebouwd in de Lorettokapel. We gaan de kapel niet binnen maar moedigen de toegang na onze tour aan om veel tijd in het museum door te brengen. Er is $ 5 toegangsprijs voor de kapel.
De oudste kerkstructuur in de VS, gebouwd in 1610, met de hand met een groep broeders en lokale inheemse volkeren. We gaan de San Miguel Mission niet binnen, maar raden aan dat je opnieuw bezoekt nadat de tour is afgelopen. Er is een kleine toegangsprijs voor de Mission en het museum van $ 4.
We zullen een glimp opvangen van het "Roundhouse", het hoofdgebouw van New Mexico. Je leert een beetje over de architectuur en de reden waarom de structuur rond is gebouwd.

Jose was phenomenal and super knowledgeable. The whole tour was very well executed and i would recommend it to anyone.
It is a unique experience. New Mexican food is in a class of its own. Our guide not only explained the nuances of New Mexican food but also the many choices of restaurants in the area. Also, an excellent walking tour. Book it early in your stay and you will have a list of places you want to return to eat.

After being to different food tours, this is one of the best. José, the guide, has been great. His passion about the Hispanic communities and his knowledge of the town have made the experience unforgettable. There were four stops (three savory and one sweet). Really good. Alcohol is included. Few tips before going: 1) Have a light breakfast before since they feed you pretty well 2) if you have any food allergy, let them know in advance so that they adapt to your needs 3) drink lots of water. Having three margaritas with the heat is not the best option 4) if you don’t drink alcohol, make sure that you let me them know that you want mocktails. At the end of the tour, Jose will provide you with many activities to do and places to eat. Jose, you were great. Thanks for making your culture visible!!
Very good food tour of several restaurants
This is an awesome way to experience Santa Fe's history, culture and food. We were a group of 5 and everyone absolutely loved the experience. The food and drinks were amazing and Jose is a wonderful and charming tour guide. We look forward to returning and signing up for one of his other fine dining tours!
This food tour must be included as a top priority for your Santa Fe itinerary! Our guide Jose has a gift with his knowledge of the region, the foods served, and ability to make it fun. Each dish was spectacular and the experience reminded me of a progressive dinner.
As we leave Santa Fe, we have decided our food tour was the highlight of our trip! Jose, was awesome and had a plethora of knowledge about the history, food, culture and tequila of New Mexico. We highly recommend. We went into our tour thinking the trip to NM was a one and done. We will now be coming back with what we have learned.
Before our Santa Fe travel, we read numerous articles and watched videos on the food scene. We felt we knew it well, but we had so much more to learn. It was so worth our money & time to do the tour on our first day in Santa Fe.
I felt that this was mediocre. The food was nothing special and we went to restaurants that I definitely would not have on my “to go” places to eat. The sampling sizes were just right. I felt that the margarita tasting with each tasting was interesting since it offered a variety of tastes at each restaurant. The tour guide enjoyed hearing himself talk and our questions were quickly dismissed or challenged with him going back to his voice box. He was knowledgeable but I got tired of him defending the food after he asked for our opinion. Perhaps my palate is a bit more upscale so this wasn’t exactly for me. The owner was communicative and pleasant to deal with.
