Naxos Old Town Tour met wijnproeverij en diner

Vier de erfenis van Dionysos, de Griekse god van de wijn, met een onvergetelijke avond van wijnproeven en gepaard dineren in het hart van de oude binnenstad van Naxos. Begin met een ontspannen wandeling door het middeleeuwse Venetiaanse kasteel, waar adembenemende uitzichten de toon zetten. Geniet van een lokale raki doordrenkt met honing en kaneel terwijl u geniet van het uitzicht. Ga vervolgens naar een gezellige wijnbar, waar u kunt genieten van een samengestelde selectie Egeïsche wijnen, perfect gecombineerd met lokale kazen, ambachtelijke vleeswaren en de beroemde Naxiaanse aardappelen, versterkt door de eigen truffel van het eiland. De avond gaat verder in een lokale taverne, voor een Grieks diner gecombineerd met lokale wijn. Na het diner sluiten we onze gastronomische soiree af met onze lokale digestieve “kitron” likeur. Me and my friends did this tour during our girls trip to Greece and we had the most amazing time!! Our tour guide Elizabeth was the best showing us gorgeous views of Naxos. She also took us to have some of the best food and wine we had on our trip. She allowed us to take our time enjoying the tour and offered to take photos of us along the way. We learned so much about the food and culture of the town from her and felt it was a must do experience!!
My wife and I had an amazing night exploring the picturesque streets of the Naxos Old Town with our lovely guide, who shared with us the rich history of the island from its prehistoric roots, Venetian conquest, and modern life in this slice of paradise. The beauty of the town and culture are reflected in the Naxian people, their wines, and their foods. We are so grateful to have had such a wonderful evening in Chora.

I cannot rave enough about this tour. First of all, I was lucky enough to be the only person on the tour for the evening. Secondly, I had an amazing tour guide, Liana, and despite her young age, she knew so much about the food, culture, mythology etc. Our first stop was a wine lounge called Hurmas. The gentleman serving the wine, Nico, was quite knowledgeable - the wine and tapas selection was excellent, and the pours were generous. Next stop was the restaurant, with an abundance of traditional Naxian food. The restaurant is a family run business, and it shows the care that they put into the food and restaurant. The staff at that restaurant were quite hard working. I was quite stuffed from all the food. The last stop was the Kitron tasting - definitely unique. Overall, the Naxos Cultural Tour company put on a great tour, and I actually booked 4 tours with them. If you want to experience the food and wine that is indigenous to Naxos, this is the tour to do. Liana was just the best!
Our private guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. She explained all we could want o know about the island and city of Naxos…their history, natural resources/products, and other pertinent information. We had a wonderful wine tasting while overlooking the gorgeous harbor of Naxos, followed by a delicious authentic dinner. She answered all of our questions. We were very impressed.
Very relaxing and informative tour. As we walked through the labyrinth of the city, we learned the history, and all of the natural resources Naxos enjoys as well as a lot about the people who live there. We enjoyed some wonderful wines and had a delicious authentic dinner, all experienced while surrounded by the most beautiful scenery, the structures and the harbor of Naxos. We had our own private guide to answer any questions.
Our guide was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable. This tour was a good balance of (1) information about the history of Naxos and (2) amazing wine and food. The wine tasting and dinner were terrific!
We started at with a walking tour of old town including the castle with an entertaining and interesting discussion of Naxos history. Enjoyed a drink of the gods overlooking the harbor and met Niko next. He introduced us to several Greek wines that were delicious and we got to taste. Cheese is native to Naxos. Finally we ended with a traditional Greek meal in a fantastic restaurant our guide was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Great way to introduce yourself to Naxos and the wonderful food and wine available here!
This was an amazing tour! Maria was incredibly knowledgeable and every place she took us to was wonderful. You have to do this tour if you’re in Naxos!
This experience is one that you should not miss. Not only were we walked through some of Naxos history, we were also introduced to some delicious food with thoughtful wine pairing. Everyone could not have been more thoughtful and accommodating!
