In het Nagasaki Peace Park kunt u wandelen tussen gedenktekens en sculpturen gewijd aan de slachtoffers van de atoombom. Neem de tijd om na te denken over het iconische Vredesbeeld en leer over de toewijding van de stad aan vrede. Het is een betekenisvolle plek om de geschiedenis van Nagasaki te begrijpen en memorabele foto's te maken.
In Hypocenter Park kun je de exacte locatie zien waar de atoombom in 1945 explodeerde. Wandel rond het monument en leer over de tragische gebeurtenissen en de impact op de stad. Het is een plek om na te denken over de geschiedenis en een dieper inzicht te krijgen in Nagasaki's reis naar vrede.
In het Nagasaki Atoombommuseum kun je tentoonstellingen bekijken over de gebeurtenissen van 9 augustus 1945 en de impact van de atoombom op de stad. Bekijk foto's, artefacten en persoonlijke verhalen die de tragedie en veerkracht van de burgers van Nagasaki illustreren. Het is een plek om te leren, te reflecteren en een dieper inzicht te krijgen in de geschiedenis en het belang van vrede.
Mount Inasa biedt een van de meest adembenemende panoramische uitzichten in Japan, vaak de “10 Million Dollar Night View” genoemd. Vanaf de top kunt u genieten van een prachtig uitzicht op de unieke haven van Nagasaki en de omliggende bergen. Zelfs overdag is het landschap prachtig en biedt het een perfecte fotomogelijkheid.
In de Oura-kerk kunt u de oudste christelijke kerk van Japan bezoeken en een UNESCO-werelderfgoedlocatie. Verken het historische gebouw en leer over de geschiedenis van het christendom in Nagasaki. Het is een kans om prachtige architectuur te zien en het unieke culturele en religieuze erfgoed van de stad te begrijpen.
Bij Glover Garden kunt u westerse woningen uit de 19e eeuw verkennen op een heuvel met uitzicht op de haven van Nagasaki. Wandel door de tuinen, geniet van panoramische uitzichten en kom alles te weten over de buitenlandse handelaren die de modernisering van Japan hebben beïnvloed. Het is een geweldige plek om foto's te maken, de geschiedenis te ervaren en te genieten van een schilderachtig uitzicht over de stad.

Pick-up is beschikbaar op elke locatie binnen 2 km van Nagasaki Station. Helaas kunnen we geen pick-up verzorgen buiten dit gebied. Voor gasten die met een cruiseschip arriveren, halen we u op bij Matsugae International Terminal (Sasebo-haven is niet beschikbaar). Als u in een hotel verblijft, bevestigen wij de hotelnaam. Andere vergaderlocaties kunnen ook geregeld worden. We wisselen vooraf contactinformatie uit via WhatsApp en stemmen de details af voor de tourdag. Op de dag van de rondleiding zal ik een bord met uw naam vasthouden om u te verwelkomen.

If you’re arriving in Nagasaki on a cruise, do yourself a favor and skip the crowded ship excursions. Touring with Kyoko was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Japan. Kyoko is a native of Nagasaki and speaks both English and Spanish. What made this tour truly exceptional was that she didn’t just teach us history, she shared her own family’s experiences after the atomic bombing. Those personal stories gave us an understanding of Nagasaki that no museum or guidebook could ever provide. We visited the hypocenter (Ground Zero), the Atomic Bomb Museum, and I found myself in tears looking at the photographs and reflecting on humanity’s capacity for cruelty while wishing for a more peaceful world. We also explored the beautiful Spectacles Bridge and the stunning Glover Garden, where Kyoko explained Nagasaki’s fascinating international history and the influence of the British merchants who once lived there. Kyoko was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about her city. She answered every question thoughtfully and even kept my 10-year-old daughter engaged throughout the day, which speaks volumes about her ability as a guide. This wasn’t just a sightseeing tour, it was an experience that helped us understand the history, culture, resilience, and spirit of Nagasaki through the eyes of someone who calls it home. Thank you, Kyoko, for giving our family such a meaningful and unforgettable day. We will remember it for the rest of our lives.

Kyoko and Adrienne were a great team! It was so nice to have a private tour to see Nagasaki. Adrienne did a great job driving and also contributing to the narrative of our tour. It was great to have a native from Nagasaki as our guide, which Kyoko was. Her grandmother was a survivor from the dropping of the atomic bomb. That added some weight to the parts of the tour that were somber. We found the tour to be informative. We enjoyed every place we saw, No, the parts having to do with the dropping of the atomic bomb were sobering. It was an important part of history we wouldn’t wanted to have missed. It’s amazing to see the growth of the area since the dropping of the bomb. The peace park was a beautiful tribute. I would highly recommend Kyoko and Adrienne!

Hiro was punctual, pleasant and spoke English very well. He was easy to find as he had a sign with my name on it. His car was very spacious and was in immaculate condition. We were able to bring my mother’s foldable wheelchair. He took us to the Nagasaki highlights and took lots of good pictures of our group. He also took us to a Pokémon store and Chinatown as extra stops. He was very attentive to our group. I highly recommend his company. He made our visit a very easy, stress-free and memorable one!

We had a great tour. Our tour guide, Adriana, was great. To me it was a great surprise to meet a Brazilian guide in Nagasaki because I am Brazilian as well, the rest of group are from USA and Thailand.
