Mystieke Mindo-wonderen: een duik van een dag in het dromenland van de natuur!

Mindo is een klein stadje in de uitlopers van de Andes van Ecuador. Gelegen in een prachtig nevelwoud, trekt het in de eerste plaats vogelspotters, maar heeft het ook attracties voor andere toeristen. Mindo ligt ten noordwesten van Quito. Deze stad werd gesticht in 1861 en de huidige bevolking is ongeveer 3000 inwoners. Mindo wordt omringd door het Mindo-Nambillo-nevelwoud; het bos is de thuisbasis van honderden soorten vogels, waarvan vele met uitsterven worden bedreigd. Hier heb je de mogelijkheid om uit activiteiten te kiezen die niet bij de prijs van de tour zijn inbegrepen; zoals wandelen langs de waterval, luifel/ritssluiting, deelnemen aan het proces van het maken van chocolade en de wereld van vlinders verkennen.

Ontmoetingspunt in het kantoor van Carpedm. Vertrek om 7 uur vanaf het kantoor van Carpedm en we vertrekken richting Mindo. De rit duurt ongeveer twee en een half uur. Onze eerste stop is de Zip-lijnen of Canopy zoals ze het hier noemen, omdat je letterlijk boven de overkapping bent. Er zijn in totaal 10 regels en als je je moedig voelt, kun je zelfs de superman of Butterfly proberen. Na ongeveer een uur adrenaline-aangedreven plezier ga je richting de Tarabita, een kabelbaan die je naar het begin van je watervalwandeling brengt. Terwijl je door het nevelwoud loopt, kun je een verscheidenheid aan verschillende vogels en vlinders zien. als u een zwempak meeneemt, kunt u een duik nemen in het kristalheldere water. Als je een beetje bent afgedroogd, gaan we lunchen. Na de lunch zijn optionele activiteiten: 1. Bezoek aan chocoladefabriek (niet inbegrepen in de prijs). OF 2. Bezoek aan vlinderboerderij / kolibries (niet inbegrepen in de prijs)

Zal richting de Tarabita gaan, een kabelbaan die je naar het begin van je watervalwandeling brengt. Terwijl je door het nevelwoud loopt, kun je een verscheidenheid aan verschillende vogels en vlinders zien. als u een zwempak meeneemt, kunt u een duik nemen in het kristalheldere water. Mindo is een bergachtig stroomgebied in de westelijke hellingen van de Andes, waar twee van de meest .. privéreservaten en lodges bekend staan om hun bergbossen, watervallen en unieke nevelwoudbiodiversiteit
Butterfly Garden in Mindo zie je meer dan 100 kleurrijke vlinders om je heen zweven. Observatietoren en dek Spot kolibries.

Such an amazing experience seeing and interacting with the animals of the forest. The hike to the waterfall was so peaceful and nice. The cable car ride had breathtaking views.
We got to have hummingbirds feed off our hands. The zipline was also fun and exhilarating. All around memorable

I did two excursions with CarpeDM : Quilotoa and Mindo. It's really comfortable because everything is included : transport, guide, lunch. I've been to Quilotoa and Mindo with Alejandro. He's really a good guide. He knows very well the nature and animals from Ecuador, so he'll give you good explanations about what you're going to visit. He's really nice, speaks very well English. Our day trip to Mindo with Alejandro was incredible! He was knowledgeable, friendly and showed us an incredible experience. We learnt so much and even helped spot some Tucans for us and hold butterflies! We were apprehensive at first for paying for the day trip vs doing it ourselves, but we were so thankful and happy with our decision after an amazing day. The trip far superseded our cotapaxi trip (although also great) Thanks so much!

We had a magical day in Mindo, seeing hummingbirds, butterflies, doing the waterfall trek and a tour of a chocolate farm. Alejandro was absolutely brilliant, the best tour guide I had in Ecuador - informative, helpful, lovely and chatty. He helped us understand mindo and we learnt a lot about Ecuador too. He also helped us to spot Toucans! Great experience.

An amazing day trip from Quito. Our guide, Alejandro, was very knowledgeable and interesting telling us many facts about the landscapes, plants and history of the area. I would recommend visiting the birds, ziplining and going to the chocolate factory.
