Onze gidsen zijn allemaal bewoners van Dubrovnik en ze zullen hun persoonlijke touch aan de tour toevoegen met hun eigen unieke stijl en presentatie. Het is een tour met kleine groepen - er zullen nooit meer dan acht gasten per gids zijn, zodat de tour een leuke, persoonlijke sfeer heeft waar de groep echt contact kan maken met de gids en zich volledig kan onderdompelen in deze ervaring. Oh, hebben we al gezegd het geweldige uitzicht op de oude stad ...?

Dit is waar het allemaal om draait - we nemen je mee op een wandeling bovenop en helemaal rond de stadsmuren. Twee uur boordevol prachtige uitzichten en interessante historische anekdotes!
Op het moment dat we tegen de muren opklimmen, zien we het machtige fort Revelin. Je gids zal je vertellen over de bouw en hoe het de stad Dubrovnik in moeilijke tijden diende.
Onze gids neemt je mee naar de Minčeta-toren, het hoogste punt van de muren, voor een adembenemend uitzicht op de oude binnenstad. Je leert over het belang van Minčeta in de verdediging van Dubrovnik door de geschiedenis heen.
Een van de eerste kazematforten in heel Europa, gebouwd door de grote Florentijnse architect Michelozzi.
We zullen bovenop het fort van St. John zijn tijdens deze tour, met uitzicht op de oude haven. U hoort over de geschiedenis en geniet van het uitzicht op het eiland Lokrum en de oude quarantaine.
We zullen het hebben over het beroemde fort Lovrijenac, het sterkste en het meest indrukwekkende. Je gids zal interessante details met je delen over de dikte van de muren en enkele intrigerende woorden in het Latijn ... We herinneren je eraan om de kaartjes voor de stadsmuren te bewaren, want ze zijn ook goed voor dit fort, dat je kunt bezoeken op je eigen.

Marko was an amazing tour guide! He was so informative about the history of Dubrovnik, the culture and his own experiences of being a lifelong resident of the Old Town. He made it really fun by adding a competitive aspect among our group of 6. He had a great sense of humor. We were totally engaged and he was able to answer any question we threw at him. We all enjoyed the tour thoroughly! We also really liked exploring the southern part of the City Walls on our own and at our own pace. We did the Dubrovnik Walls walk with our tour guide Marko. In our two weeks in Croatia, it was the single best tour we did and Marko was an A++ quality guide. The zest and passion with which he conveyed the history had all four of us (19, 22, 54, 55) thoroughly engaged from start to finish. I cannot recommend this tour enough, same for Marko as a guide. I would do it earlier in the day when the weather is cooler and the crowds are sparse and then enjoy a drink at one of the two buza bars on the south wall where you enjoy beautiful views and the odd cliff diver.

Marko was a wonderful local guide. He interspersed interesting historical facts while also giving us an idea of what it's like to be a resident of the old city.
