Dit 150 minuten durende (2,5 uur durende) avontuur begint dagelijks om 16.00 uur van half mei tot oktober en combineert humor en geschiedenis voor een ervaring die geliefd is bij meer dan een half miljoen gasten. Uw hoogtepunten wachten: Moeiteloze stadscruise: Glijd door de oude binnenstad van München en ontdek moeiteloos iconische bezienswaardigheden zoals het Hofbräuhaus, Odeonsplatz en de Engelse tuin. Unieke bezienswaardigheden: Vang een glimp op van de beroemde Nudist Meadow van de Engelse Tuin en zie de gedurfde River Surfers op de Eisbach-golf. Iconische biertuin stop: Geniet van een leuke pauze in de beroemde Chinese Tower Beer Garden (eten/drinken niet inbegrepen). Ontmoet ons om 15.55 uur bij het Standbeeld van Julia / Marienplatz 15, waar we uw gids ontmoeten en daarna een korte introductie krijgen over München voordat u naar onze winkel loopt om uw fiets op te halen voor uw rondleiding. Helmen zijn incl. op verzoek.
De Platzl: Thuisbasis van de hartslag van München. Dit charmante, historische plein is in wezen de geboorteplaats van de legendarische biercultuur van München! Het is de beroemde thuisbasis van het wereldberoemde Hofbräuhaus, en de geplaveide straten zijn bekleed met traditionele Beierse gebouwen. De Platzl vangt perfect de essentie van het oude München, waardoor het een levendige en authentieke halte is
Onze tweede stop is om u te laten genieten van verhalen over de familie Wittelsbacher en hun banden met Napoleon. Ook vertellen we u meer over het Opera House en de Residenz.
Dit majestueuze plein is een van de meest indrukwekkende van München, gemodelleerd naar een beroemd plein in Florence. Als we er doorheen fietsen, ziet u de torenhoge gele Theatinerkirche (Theatijnse kerk), een prachtig barok meesterwerk, en de Feldherrnhalle, een monument met een krachtige, centrale rol in de moderne Beierse geschiedenis. Het is een plek waar grote parades en belangrijke historische gebeurtenissen zich hebben ontvouwd, en biedt een kijkje in het koninklijke en dramatische verleden van München.
Dit immense complex midden in het centrum van de stad was meer dan 400 jaar lang de voormalige thuisbasis en zetel van de macht voor de Beierse Wittelsbachse heersers. Als we voorbij fietsen, zie je de grote gevels, hintend naar de honderden weelderige kamers, binnenplaatsen en schatten binnen. Het is het grootste stadspaleis van Duitsland en een levend bewijs van eeuwen Beierse koninklijkheid.
Deze prachtige tuin in Renaissance-stijl, ooit exclusief voor royalty's, is nu een serene openbare oase. We fietsen door de verzorgde gazons, langs indrukwekkende fonteinen en bewonderen de iconische Diana-tempel in het hart – vaak een plek voor dansers of muzikanten op zonnige dagen. Het is een vredig contrast met de bruisende pleinen van de stad en een perfecte plek om te genieten van de groene kant van München.
Maak je klaar om jezelf onder te dompelen in een van 's werelds grootste en mooiste stedelijke parken! Terwijl we door deze uitgestrekte groene ruimte fietsen, ontdekt u rustige paden, weelderige weiden die perfect zijn om te zonnebaden en zelfs een stromende rivier. Het is de favoriete speeltuin van de stad, waar je alles kunt zien, van traditionele biertuinen tot unieke bezienswaardigheden zoals de River Surfers.
Onze levendige stop binnen de Engelse Tuin! Deze iconische biertuin omringt een unieke houten pagode van 25 meter. Het is een fantastische plek om authentieke Beierse 'Gemütlichkeit' (gezelligheid) onder kastanjebomen te ervaren. Je hebt tijd om te ontspannen, te genieten van de sfeer en traditionele gerechten en verfrissende drankjes te kopen (niet inbegrepen).
Dit imposante gebouw, gelegen aan de rand van de Engelse Tuin, is meer dan alleen een kunstmuseum. Het is een monumentaal bouwwerk met een complexe geschiedenis, oorspronkelijk gebouwd in de jaren 1930. Tegenwoordig is het een belangrijk internationaal centrum voor hedendaagse kunst, waar indrukwekkende wisselende tentoonstellingen worden gehouden. We pauzeren om de kenmerkende architectuur te bewonderen en meer te weten te komen over de reis door de tijd.
Isartor: De middeleeuwse poort van München. De Isartor, een van de drie overgebleven middeleeuwse stadspoorten van München, herinnert met trots aan de oude vestingwerken van de stad. Het is een opvallend herkenningspunt dat je terug in de tijd brengt en de oostelijke rand van het oude stadscentrum markeert.

This was an absolute blast. I was only in Munich for one day and had no firm plans. This was a great way to enjoy the sites without getting lost or exhausting yourself. Munich is a lovely place to ride a bike in, and ending at the beer garden was fun. My host was professional and friendly. It was nice getting little bits of information on all the recommended sites without having to research them in advance. I loved the English Gardens!

We had so much fun on this tour of Munich. It was super laid-back and we learned a lot about the history of the city. We went to a great beer garden and biked through the English garden, which was my favorite part. Munich is such a beautiful city and I can’t wait to explore it by bike next time. A wonderful historical experience tempered with wit and good hearted humour. Kyle's balance of information and wit is commendable and his histoical knowledge is admirable. We were a large group of 16 riders but the good sensible cycling pace cycling was managed well with successful negotiations of across roads. Not to mention the rear was carefully managed by "the sweeper" Dougie. The route is a mix of off road and cycle paths and almost completely flat making it suitable for cycling experiences. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Thank you Kyle and Dougie.
