Bezoek de belangrijkste monumenten van Córdoba tijdens een 3,5 uur - 4 uur durende rondleiding om meer te weten te komen over de christelijke, moslim en joodse invloed in de stad. Belangrijke opmerking : Vanwege renovaties zijn de binnenkamers van het Alcázar DE los Reyes Cristianos gesloten. Het bezoek omvat de historische tuinen, het Columbus-monument en de kaliefenbaden — een unieke ruimte die de pracht van het islamitische verleden van Córdoba weerspiegelt. Sla de lange wachtrijen voor de 8e-eeuwse Moskee-kathedraal van Córdoba over en bewonder het bos van zuilen en dubbele bogen. Bewonder de mihrab (aps) van de voormalige moskee en maak vervolgens een wandeling door de Joodse wijk om de Arabische markt en het bronzen standbeeld van de middeleeuwse Sefardische filosoof Maimonides te bezoeken. Alcázar DE los Reyes Cristianos, een van de primaire residenties van Isabella I van Castilië en Ferdinand II van Aragon. Ga binnen via de hoofdingang en dompel jezelf onder in de prachtige architectuur van het paleis, gelegen op de plaats van een fort gebouwd door de Visigoten en later bezet door het Kalifaat van Cordoba.
We wandelen door de Joodse wijk om de Synagoge, Arabische markt en bronzen standbeeld van de middeleeuwse Sefardische filosoof Maimonides te bezoeken.
Bezoek de spectaculaire schoonheid van de moskee-kathedraal van Córdoba, een van de meest bezochte monumenten in Spanje. Met behoud van de decoratieve stijl van een islamitische moskee, begon de bouw van het prachtige monument in de 8e eeuw. Latere uitbreidingen vergrootten de omvang enorm, waardoor het de op een na grootste moskee ter wereld werd voordat het een katholieke kathedraal werd.

Great and very knowledgeable--guide has multiple masters degrees includin gin relevant field. Doing this makes you appreciate more of what you are looking at. Also had good pacing for pictures (always time at the end of each section).
Today was one of those travel days that reminds you just how powerful it can be to stand in places where history actually happened. 🌉 We walked across the incredible Roman Bridge of Córdoba, imagining the countless people who have crossed it over the centuries. 👑 We visited the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, where Christopher Columbus met with King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella as he sought support for his voyage across the Atlantic. Standing in a place connected to a moment that would ultimately change the course of world history was pretty incredible. 🕌⛪ And then came the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba (Mezquita-Catedral). This one was different. Walking through its famous arches and seeing the layers of Islamic and Christian history woven together in one extraordinary place was deeply moving and surprisingly emotional. ❤️ There are places you visit because they’re beautiful…and then there are places you feel. Today, Córdoba was both.

Our guide was amazing and very informative. Why 3 stars not 5 was the fact that they know the castle was closed for renovations and they still advise it in the pkg. They will message your the night before to inform you. So just book the mosque/cahthedral and that is sufficient

Interesting history walk but maybe a bit too long in July when heat hits 38+. By the end we were flagging

Unfortunately the castle is closed since in reform but the tour really is worth the price. Our guide was very good and the heat does not prevent a unique experience.

This was an amazing walking tour of Córdoba. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable on the history of all the places we visited. Easy walking for all abilities. The highlight is the Mesquita, but the other sites are fabulous too. The company is excellent with their communication. Highly recommend
