Monteith’s Brewing Company maakt al meer dan 150 jaar deel uit van de westkust. Terwijl het brouwen niet langer op locatie gebeurt, is onze Greymouth-locatie nu een bezoekersattractie van wereldklasse die ons biererfgoed viert. Deze 45 minuten durende begeleide ervaring is een backstage pass naar onze architectonisch ontworpen brouwerij, waar je lokale verhalen hoort, historische recepten verkent en de uitrusting ziet die Monteith's ooit tot leven bracht. Je leert hoe we onze beroemde bieren gebrouwen hebben, waarna je eindigt met een proefsessie waarbij je bier verkent op geur, zicht en smaak - gevolgd door drie tapbieren van Monteith of ciders met proefnotities. Je krijgt ook een Monteith’s 6-pack om mee te nemen. Uw paspoort bevat kortingen voor attracties aan de westkust, zoals Franz Josef Hot Pools, Treetop Walk en Shantytown Heritage Park. Tours vertrekken dagelijks om 16.00 uur vanaf Monteith’s Brewery, 60 Herbert Street Greymouth. De ervaring duurt ongeveer 45 minuten. Monteith's is rolstoelvriendelijk en er zijn kinderrondleidingen verkrijgbaar aan de bar.

We had Kate as our guide and she was legit the best! Such an amazing vibrant bubbly host who had exceptional knowledge- cannot recommend this tour enough!
A must-see, do, eat and drink experience in Greymouth! A huge shout-out to Andrew (aka "Chicken"), an absolute legend of the brewery with over 20 years of experience. He was so down-to-earth and genuinely passionate about Monteith's, which made the tour both entertaining and informative. He even went the extra mile by putting the fire on for us before dinner, which was a thoughtful touch and very much appreciated. It's those little things that make the experience special. The Monteith's Kiwi street sign magnets are a fantastic marketing idea too—we couldn't resist grabbing one! If you're in Greymouth, don't miss this place. Great tour, great food, great beer, and outstanding hospitality. Highly recommend!

Had a great time learning about history of New Zealand beer history!… The beer tasted refreshing ! We were shown how the factory is set up to brew and then bottle the beer. Afterwards, we were given two options, including a classic beer. I thought that the beer had a great flavor!
We enjoyed our tour. Harvey was a knowledgeable and personable guide. It was interesting to hear about the history of the company a the brewing process although no brewing takes place on site. Monteith’s beers are allay good so we enjoyed the samples and the mixed six packs to bring away.

One of the coupons gives 20% off the Waiatoto River Safaris which amounts to a substantial saving. The tour was informative. Our guide spoke about the founder’s history and prison sentence for illegally making and selling his craft beer. It was a former brewery; nothing is made there now. The tanks have a problem with the underground beer line. We took the tour with a tasting. You get 2 beers and a mixed 6 pack of your choice to take home.

Not really much off a tour nothing really to see only good thing about it if you paid for full tour you get to get 6 pack off beer but would be cheaper to go buy a 6 pack at the shop so definitely would not be recommending
Very interesting and informative Host. Great value. No hassles. However, They did forget our Monteiths Passports. Very nice restaurant and very good food.
Monteith’s Brewery is a highlight for the town of Graymouth. Even though it’s now owned by a big international brewing company, it still feels like a place locals actually come to, not just somewhere set up for tourists. The brewery tour was informative and easy to follow — not rushed, and you learn something. The tastings at the end were a nice way to wrap it up. Food and drinks were priced as you except when you walk through the door, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Plenty of space and easygoing vibe. Worth the visit if you’re passing through.
