U neemt een uur voor de vertrektijd van de vlucht deel aan een weercontrole. Vluchten zijn afhankelijk van de weersomstandigheden. Als het weer geschikt is, wordt u ongeveer 5 minuten na het gesprek opgehaald bij uw hotel. Je kunt er ook voor kiezen om zelf naar de hangar te rijden als je wilt. Eenmaal ingecheckt op kantoor vertrek je op een van de vliegtuigen waar iedereen een stoel bij het raam krijgt. De vlucht is een 40-minuten durende vlucht met majestueus uitzicht op de bergen, meren en fjorden van het Fiordland National Park.
Bij het bereiken van Milford Sound wordt u meegenomen naar de bootcruise, een twee uur durende cruise van Milford Sound. Als u onze picknicklunch-optie bestelt, krijgt u deze tijdens het instappen.
Na voltooiing van de cruise wordt u teruggevlogen naar Queenstown op een andere vliegroute dan de ingang.

Bel Milford Sound Scenic Flight voor de laatste weercontrole 1 uur en 30 minuten vóór de vertrektijd waarvoor u hebt geboekt. De ophaalservice bij uw hotel begint 5 minuten na de weercontrole voor uw vlucht. Controleer de e-mailbevestiging van de operator met de dichtstbijzijnde ophaallocatie en -tijd. Als u op een locatie verblijft die niet in de lijst staat of zelf naar hun basis wilt rijden, neem dan rechtstreeks contact op met Milford Sound Scenic Flights, en zij zullen u adviseren over de beste optie die voor u beschikbaar is.

We originally booked the "take a bus to Milford" trip, but were convinced by fellow travelers to switch to the plane ride, and oh my, was that good advice. Not only is it faster, but flying through the mountains is an amazing experience. My wife and I are both private pilots, so it was even more enjoyable for us. I was convinced that would be the highlight of the trip, until we reached the Sound. Taking a boat through the Sound, seeing the sheer volcanic cliffs dropping into the water, glimpsing the vast Pacific to the west, and then getting to fly home again was a day we won't soon forget.
It was the second time I took scenic flights to Milford Sound from Queenstown. The flight was stable and safe and the view was breathtaking. Tge pilots were very friendly and helpful. The overall experience was super!
Have done Milford sound a number of times this was definitely the easiest. A great view from the plane as well.
From pick up to drop off the whole experience was professional . Breathtaking scenery throughout the whole experience with detailed commentary.
I can’t say enough good things. The process was easy and the staff was friendly. Our pilot was very nice and friendly as well. The flight not only saves time but it is incredible to sight see on the way to the boat.
Top 10 lifetime experience for sure. From the hotel pickup to the very smooth flight with out of this world views to the cruise thru the fjord. This is a must do experience. It is very expensive - but sooo worth it if you can afford it!
Loved it totally.What a close up and personal experience. Totally stunning day out. To dod fly/cruise fly all up about 4 hrs or so was amazing.Up in the air great pilot,Kurt I think was in charge,so relaxed and totally professional. Would rather do this than bus/cruise/fly which is 5 hrs bus each way. Excellent excursion.

Absolutely worth it. It saved us from a long bus ride, gave us more time to enjoy Milford Sound, and let us stay there most of the day while also doing the cruise. The views and sightseeing from the plane were really special and made the whole experience even better. Seeing what many call the eighth wonder of the world from both the air and the water was unforgettable. Highly recommend.

Loved this excursion! This is a wonderful way to view the mountains and to avoid a long ride to Milford Sound and back from Queenstown. The air operator, Milford Air, was super professional. Our pilot, Tom, was the best! He narrated the trip to and from, and is so familiar with the territory. The boat ride was great, but the air trip was the winner! Highly recommend!
