Bij aankomst in Milford Sound gaat u aan boord van een moderne en ruime catamaran, waarmee u de beroemdste fjord van de regio verkent. Terwijl de boot over de lengte van de fjord naar de Tasmanzee vaart, zal de gastvrije bemanning delen wat ze weten over hun plaats, de natuur, de watervallen en de fascinerende geschiedenis. Geniet van een gratis lunch voordat u zich bij de bemanning voegt voor een dansje in de spray van pure gletsjersmelt terwijl de boot Stirling Falls sluit voor een verfrissende finale!

Bij het verlaten van Queenstown en langs de oevers van Lake Wakatipu, brengt de snelweg je langs de ruige maar mooie Devil's Staircase en langs prachtige bergketens naar het zuidelijke landelijke binnenland. Nadat u door het landschap van herten-, vee- en schapenhouderijen bent gereisd, komt u naar het prachtige stadje Te Anau, de poort naar Fiordland, voor een verfrissing.
De bus maakt een geplande stop bij Te Anau, de toegangspoort tot Fiordland, voor een belangrijke rustpauze voordat hij het Nationaal Park binnenrijdt. Je kunt deze tijd gebruiken om je cafeïnefixatie te krijgen, je benen te strekken, een wandeling naar het meer te maken of de laatste connectiviteit op te slaan, aangezien het telefoonsignaal en wifi zalig wegvallen als je Fiordland binnenkomt.
Begin aan een prachtige tour door het Nationaal Park naar Milford Sound; waar de reis net zo spectaculair is als de bestemming! Geniet van inzichtelijke en anekdotische verhalen van onze ervaren chauffeursgidsen terwijl ze de geheimen van hun prachtige achtertuin delen. Profiteer van de talrijke stops onderweg voor ongelooflijke foto's en korte natuurwandelingen door het hart van Fiordland op iconische punten zoals Elginton Valley, Mirror Lakes, Knobs Flat en Monkey Creek.
Stap aan boord van een ruime catamaran en geniet van een mooie cruise langs de spectaculaire Milford Sound. Maak kennis met de torenhoge bergen, steile kliffen en hangende valleien van de fjord terwijl de boot tijdens de twee uur durende cruise de randen van de fjord omhelst. Voel de spray van de watervallen die uit een oud regenwoud hoog in de bergen stromen en kijk uit naar Nieuw-Zeelandse pelsrobbenkolonies en af en toe dolfijnen die in de buurt zwemmen. Terwijl uw cruise langs de majestueuze Mitre Peak slingert en terwijl u door Milford Sound naar de Tasmanzee navigeert, laat het landschap u terugvoeren naar een tijd van magische wildernis! Ontspan op de comfortabele stoelen, pak een lokaal biertje of wijntje van de bar, geniet van het landschap vanaf het zonnedek of sluit je aan bij de beroemde vriendelijke bemanning op de boeg terwijl de boot Stirling Falls nadert voor de verfrissende finale.
De bus keert na de cruise terug naar Te Anau zonder onderweg te stoppen, zodat u tijd heeft om uw foto's te bewerken, een dutje te doen of gewoon terug te blikken op de cruise van uw leven!
Een kortere rustpauze in Te Anau wordt gemaakt op de terugreis voordat de reis terug naar Queenstown wordt voltooid.
Na een korte pauze in Te Anau keert de bus na een lange maar onvergetelijke dag terug naar Queenstown!

Great and must do experience. Our Diver Ian was informative and to be honest, made the day. The views not only in Milford sound but throughout the whole day were awesome. We traveled with our 4 year old girl and it was a very long day for her, but definelty doable. One little note that we did not think of was a sick bag. The roads are windy and our little one has never been car sick but after watching her iPad for an hour the inevitable happened. Ian was very helpful and we managed to get through, but maybe pack a little plastic bag just in case. The day is very organised, almost to the minute, so do not be late. All in all, a must do if you come to Queenstown. The Pure Milford experience seemed to be the best bus and boat from what I could see.

This was our second time to milford sound (first time for the kids). The bus ride is a bit tedious and there were a few episodes of sickness. The venue is as great as ever and we had an opportunity to see some dolphins as well, but the 8 hour roundtrip on coach is probably not worth the ordeal.

It's unforgottable, feels like it's heaven as it was named originally. Can't explain in words, can't be captured in photoes or videos. Further to this the coach service was outstanding and road trip was fully filled with stunning views. Our Pure Milford coach driver "NAOKI" was excellent in providing live commentary through the way.

A long day but absolutely worth it! An amazing experience for my 70+ year old parents, me and my husband and our 6yr old. The coach and boat were both comfortable, knowledge of our driver enhanced the experience and the trip is very well timed so that stops are the perfect length for a refreshment, toilet break or photo opportunity. That part of the world is so untouched that you feel so removed from reality, if only for a day! The flora, fauna and landforms really show all that Mother Nature has to offer

We highly recommend the tour. It is a long time in the coach but the glass roof and high windows enable excellent views of landscape. The Milford Sound cruise was sensational. There are additional stops along the way so you can stretch your legs and take in the beautiful scenery. I would recommend taking travel sickness medication if you are not used to the winding roads. Our coach driver IAN was sensational and his knowledge of the area is second to none! He was very caring when my daughter was sick. Would 100% recommend this company.
