Međugorje is een van de meest bezochte toeristische bestemmingen in Bosnië en Herzegovina. Het religieuze toerisme in Međugorje begon zich te ontwikkelen na de verschijning van de Heilige Maagd Maria, die voor het eerst plaatsvond in 1981. Međugorje wist de oorspronkelijke charme van een schrijn te behouden, waar pelgrims echt vrede vinden in geloof en gesprek met God. Op de top van de heuvel Križevac staat een kruis, gebouwd in 1933 voor de 1900ste verjaardag van de kruisiging van Jezus Christus. Het middelpunt van de pelgrimsbijeenkomst bevindt zich in het Heiligdom van de Koningin van de Vrede, hoe Međugorje officieel wordt genoemd. Na Me visitingugorje te hebben bezocht, hebben velen hun eigen wondergenezing of levensveranderingen ervaren. Ze zeggen dat vanaf het moment dat je op de grond van Međugorje stapt, je een aantrekkingskracht zult voelen op deze plek, de positieve energie die het hele gebied, zijn bewoners en bezoekers uitstralen. Bij thuiskomst voelt het alsof je echt een stap dichter bij God bent.

The driver contacted us and moved the start time from 7am to 9am. He told us there were lots to see nearby. He was late picking us up the next day and then told us if we wanted to see anything more he would charge us 50 euros more a person . We declined to do any other stop. He then had an hour break when we were at Apparatuon Hill from noon till about 1 pm. When we got into town we only wanted to stay 30 minutes but he said we had to give him a long lunch break so he eventually agreed from 1.5 hour break to make it 1 hour. He was late back from that break so we could not leave till 2:30z. Needless to say we canceled our other Viator trips we could cancel.
Thanks marina for you review I am so sorry that this happend to you and that you didn't like you driver and guide Tomislav but I think that you make mistake or you didn't understand him he ask you if you want to see other places that he can show you more for additional price of 50 euros more not just Medugorje. When you go into town he wanted that you spend there more time because it was a long drive to there and he was hungry and need to rest little and need energy lunch food so he can drive you back. We arrived in time to attend the English mass. We walked Apparation Hill and were able to have Masses said by visiting St James rectory. All Masses are said exactly one month from the day. Tomi was very instrumental in helping us accomplish this in one day . He drove us from Dubrovnik to Medjugore and back. We enjoyed a great lunch together at a local cafe that had great food. At his urging, we also stopped at Ston. We had a 12 hour day together. He was very willing to stop anywhere. This day in Medjugore was the highlight of my trip.
