Mauritius: dolfijnen zwemmen en Ile Aux Bénitiers met barbecue

Well managed tour. Boat captain and first mate Luke were both excellent in connecting with the guests and keeping a lively environment throughout the tour. We saw real dolphins and actually got to swim near them if not with them ( they are shy and swim away really fast). The barbecue lunch and complimentary drinks were also much appreciated. On the whole a great experience and strong recommend.

An exceptional day thanks to Johan and his colleague who took great care of us all day long. They are respectful of the environment and the dolphins, no stupid acceleration when the dolphins appear like on other boats, we go easy and enjoy it just as much! They then took the time to let us go snorkeling at a very good, quiet spot. Very good meal served on the beach of Île aux Bénitiers. Thanks to the team for this unforgettable day Zaf

Beautiful day to discover the dolphins, turtles, fish, and marine life. The BBQ was good and we had time to enjoy every place.

Chasing dolphins and whales is not only unethical, it's a waste of time. You're depriving them and their babies of energy they should spend eating, not running from you. Also, the "free lunch" is actually 3+ hours on a remote beach with no escape and nothing to do but spend money on inflated vendors. It's a scam. If you want to swim with dolphins, get a snorkel and a kayak or sup. You'll have more fun, spend less, and be a better person.

This experience was not at all like what we expected. The main purpose of us choosing this was to experience the dolphins and what we got was such a terrible interaction. The tour guides firstly did not speak English at all and could not explain or communicate with us. They also did not provide any equipment for the snorkelling element and to see the dolphins, we were not advised our own equipment is needed. The dolphin encounter was simply disrespectful and unkind to the dolphins themselves, around 20 boats are in the water at the same time in the same spot hoping to see the dolphin and then when the dolphins are spotted all the boats race to that spot and encircle the dolphins there, at which point you’re shouted at to jump in the water and try catch a glance of the dolphin up close. It’s truly awful and felt as if we were cornering the dolphins and harassing them. The authorities must do better to manage tour operators working like this. You are then taken to an island and left there for 4hours, lunch is provided which was ok but the bathrooms available were incredibly dirty and the tour operator takes the boat elsewhere during this time and did not even give us our shoes before leaving. The whole experience was lack lustre and felt unethical towards the dolphins themselves.

An unforgettable day where we could swim with turtles, dolphins and observe sperm whales, visit and eat on the Île aux Benitiers: an exceptional experience sublimated thanks to the kindness of Christophe and Mathieu! Don't think about it. Go ahead.

The experience on the boat wasn’t great. While driving the boat the captain made harsh turns and a circle at high speed which we asked him not to do as it scared our son into tears. Also the Dolphin experience in wasn’t suitable for kids as 15 adults we’re pushing to get off the boat to get to the dolphins first at each stop. Overall the swimming with dolphins was chaotic and not what we expected. The snorkling was a joke as they dropped us over sandbottom with scattered loose corals and we were told to stay around the boat. The majority of the day was spent on the Island waiting for lunch to get prepared , and then cleared off before returning to store. On the way back our youngest asked for a lifevest and was told ”no” by the staff, so they didn’t seem very interested in the customer experience or a dialogue.

Amazing day, best day trip we have had in a while! Boat was pretty nice with shade, Saw loads of dolphins and stopped off at an idealic beach for bbq. My daughter said we are in the Moana film! The captain main sure to do extra stops if he thought we would see more dolphins. Left at 715am Did not reach back until about 3pm. Very good value for money!

After a delay of 20 minutes the evening adventure started -> 30 min. Speedboat to the dolphin spot. The ensuing swim with dolphins was more of a hunt for the dolphins than a swim with them. As soon as a group of dolphins was spotted again, 30 motorboats like the pecking ones took off in the corresponding direction - anything but a leisurely, relaxed swim with dolphins (and also a little wonder that no swimmers in the water are run over by the boats...). Subsequent snorkel stop was nice with many different fish species. Crystal Rock up close also looked quite nice. The Ile aux Benetiers has a beautiful beach with crystal clear waters (nothing else to offer). Lunch (grilled chicken/sausages with salad) was ok. Nevertheless, I would not recommend the tour - also for safety reasons not (old boat with defects). PS: During dolphin swimming there were actually boats (not ours) where the swimmers climbed back on the boat with the engine running / the screw turning - incredible...
