Maak je klaar voor een onvergetelijke ervaring in het zeeleven op Mauritius, met de mogelijkheid om dolfijnen en walvissen te observeren in hun natuurlijke oceaanomgeving. Begin op het open water van de Indische Oceaan, waar u de kans krijgt om te zwemmen naast wilde dolfijnen onder begeleiding van ervaren lokale schippers. Ga verder offshore voor een walvisobservatie-ervaring, waar je de kans hebt om bultruggen en/of potvissen tegen te komen. Dit deel van de tour wordt uitgevoerd met een sterke nadruk op verantwoord walvissen spotten, te allen tijde een veilige afstand bewaren en internationale best practices volgen om te voorkomen dat natuurlijk gedrag wordt verstoord. Gedurende de dag delen uw deskundige schippers inzichten in het lokale zeeleven en geven ze prioriteit aan veiligheid, duurzaamheid en ethische interactie met wilde dieren. Dit is een zorgvuldig begeleide ervaring ontworpen voor degenen die getuige willen zijn van het ongelooflijke mariene ecosysteem van Mauritius op een manier die het respecteert en beschermt.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
We halen op bij alle hotels, B&B's, appartementen op het eiland. Laat ons weten in welk hotel, B&B of appartement je verblijft. Merk op dat deze excursie om 06:45 uur begint aan de westkust van het eiland. Uw exacte ophaaltijd is afhankelijk van waar u verblijft, maar zal doorgaans tussen 05:00 en 06:15 uur zijn.

- In bijna alle gevallen (minimaal 90%) ziet u dolfijnen, maar als dit niet het geval is, wordt een tweede excursie op de boot gratis aangeboden voor alleen het dolfijnen spotten (2,5 uur). Het is belangrijk op te merken dat er geen restitutie plaatsvindt zodra u de activiteit heeft voltooid
- Er is een kans van 60% dat je walvissen ziet, maar als dat niet het geval is, kan de lokale touroperator geen restitutie geven vanwege de hoge brandstofkosten, dus houd hier rekening mee voordat je boekt

Everyone who comes to Mauritius should experience this. We saw humpback whales, swam with dolphins and snorkeled on a beautiful reef. The company that organized it was excellent

It's a great way to see dolphins in the wild. You need to be quick when they say go, go. Look down and they [dolphins] go past quickly. Then back on boat and move to do it again. Need to be confident swimmer if you are jumping in but you can stay on boat and see from above. We were lucky to see whales too, mother and two babies. There are a lot of other boats but the experience was great 👍.

We went on this tour on Wednesday 2nd September, the 2 x crew members were very knowledgeable and informative. The day was fantastic from start to finish and was told they could not guarantee seeing whales , but radioed through and said there was sightings of the sperm whales . We were lucky enough to see a few whales and got a good view of them as well , stayed about a hour then went to see dolphins which was about 30 of them had a fantastic day was well worth it

We saw one whale and some dolphins, but when we went to do the snorkeling we finish to early. It supoust to finish at 12:30 mor or less, and were at the port at 10:30. In my opinion we should went to another snorkel place. Thanks.

Swam with dolphins and saw whales, what more could you ask? Having been on many disappointing sea fishing trips in the past I went with a healthy dose of cynicism. However the 2 man crew were friendly and well informed from other boats and found both quickly. 2 things ticked off my bucket list. Watch outs, it gets quite cold and expect lots of spray so a change of clothes recommended. Overall had an amazing experience.

It was a great experience to experience the sperm whales. Our organizer behaved very respectfully towards the animals and still managed to make this experience possible for us.

Picked up at 5:00AM because whale viewing has to be done before midday (Mauritius law), but getting up that early was worth it. There's no guarantee of seeing anything at all, but the company are organised with spotter boats that go out early and then report back so us tourists get the very best chance. They're also flexible - we were meant to see the dolphins first but that changed when a report came over the radio that whales had been spotted, and we ended up seeing 6 or 7 sperm whales which was amazing. Later on we also got to see some dolphins - the method here is to park the boat ahead of their course and then for us to jump in quickly and watch as the dolphins swim under us. Then we got back in the boat which caught them back up and repeated. Obviously we were there for dolphins and whales, but the landscape as we went out to sea with the sun coming up was also spectacular.
