Deze tour is een perfecte mix van natuur, cultuur en avontuur – allemaal op één dag. In tegenstelling tot standaard tours, verken je Materuni Village, leer je het volledige proces van het maken van lokale koffie van boon tot kopje, en geniet je van een traditionele Chagga maaltijd gekookt door de lokale bevolking. Spring vervolgens op een leuke en milieuvriendelijke tuk tuk rit door het platteland naar de prachtige Chemka Hot Springs, een natuurlijke oase perfect om te zwemmen en te ontspannen. Reizen met de tuk tuk in plaats van een busje maakt de reis meer meeslepend, persoonlijk en memorabel!

Na het verkennen van de prachtige Materuni Watervallen, genesteld op de weelderige hellingen van Mount Kilimanjaro, gaat uw reis verder met een meeslepende koffietour in een nabijgelegen Chagga dorp. Onder leiding van lokale boeren ontdek je het hele koffiezetproces — van het oogsten van rijpe koffiekersen tot het roosteren boven een open vuur en het handmatig malen. Je kunt zelfs een vers kopje biologische Arabica koffie zetten en proeven, gemaakt op de traditionele Chagga manier. Na de koffie-ervaring wordt u getrakteerd op een stevige warme lokale lunch, bereid met verse, lokaal geproduceerde ingrediënten. Deze authentieke Tanzaniaanse maaltijd biedt een heerlijk kijkje in de culinaire tradities van de regio, allemaal geserveerd in een warme en gastvrije dorpssfeer. Uw avontuur begint met een schilderachtige tuk-tuk rit van uw hotel naar Materuni Village, het aanbieden van een unieke en lokale manier om het prachtige landschap te ervaren op weg naar de uitlopers van Mount Kilimanjaro. Onderweg kunt u genieten van uitzicht op het landelijke leven en het weelderige groen dat het dorp omringt. Eenmaal aangekomen in Materuni Village, zal uw gids u leiden op een wandeling naar de prachtige Materuni Watervallen. Het pad slingert door koffie- en bananenboerderijen, met volop mogelijkheden om meer te leren over lokale planten en cultuur. De wandeling is matig en geschikt voor de meeste fitnessniveaus, en de beloning is een adembenemend uitzicht op de waterval die meer dan 80 meter in een helder bergzwembad trapt - een ideale plek om uit te rusten, foto's te maken en te genieten van de frisse, koele lucht.
Na een bezoek aan de prachtige Materuni Watervallen en genieten van een meeslepende koffie-ervaring met de lokale Chagga gemeenschap, vervolgen we ons avontuur met een schilderachtige rit naar Chemka Hot Springs. De rit duurt ongeveer 2 uur, waarbij u onderweg door lokale dorpen en prachtige landschappen rijdt — en een glimp van het dagelijks leven op het platteland van Tanzania biedt. Bij aankomst in Chemka Hot Springs (ook bekend als Kikuletwa Hot Springs), vindt u een echt verborgen juweeltje - een natuurlijke geothermische oase genesteld in het midden van de savanne. I had an amazing experience doing all 3 activities. The hike to Materuni Waterfalls was beautiful, with lush scenery and a stunning waterfall at the end. The coffee tour was such a highlight, learning the traditional process and getting involved was both fun and authentic. Huge thank you to Willie, the Coffee Boys, and the rest of the team for their energy, hospitality, and making the whole experience so memorable. Relaxing at Chemka Hot Springs was great as well. Crystal clear water and such a peaceful setting. Everything was well organized and worth every minute. Amazing Tanzanian Massage on the Tuk-Tuk (bumpy road), Highly recommend!

Magic moment! We had a great time with Buzi. This tour is well organized and allowed us to see beautiful landscapes with Kilimanjaro in the background and participate in the transformation of the cafe before a local lunch. I advise.

The guide was very knowledgeable about wildlife and environment which I appreciated a lot. The hike was an easy track and the coffee experience was incredible! I was able to not only learn a lot about coffee production but peel and roast the beans myself before enjoying my cup of self produced coffee. One if the guy is a very passionate film maker and took amazing videos abd photos on my phone with pleasure without me asking hahahah! A very fun and unique experience. We enjoyed a home cooked meal with lots of diversity in case anyone is vegetarian or vegan. I would repeat this experience over and over again
