Een unieke tegelervaring in de Algarve. Je hebt het voorrecht om een lokale kunstenaar te ontmoeten die de technieken van de Portugese tegelkunst zal delen, vooral de bekende kunst van de 20e eeuw. XVII. Met de hulp van de kunstenaar leer je de technieken van deze kunst en schilder je je eigen tegels, de ene met een klassiek ontwerp en de andere origineel.

Loved it! Señora Maragarida was exceptional. Learned a lot about tile painting. Just make a note that we could not get our tiles shipped for 10 Euros as listed on the app. Which makes sense. The artist has kindly offered to check how much it will be since one has to wait 3-4days for the tiles to be fired and completed. The experience was one of a kind.

I had the pleasure to attend the super interesting azulejos workshop by artist Margarita. I created two beautiful azulejos using the traditional Portuguese technique. Francisco communicated all logistics clearly and followed-up with a collection of photos. Highly recommended.

Marguerite runs the workshop in the artisans shop with lots of lovely art to peruse. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoyed learning the techniques to paint our tiles. Be aware that the tiles take a few days to be fired in the kiln, so check that you have a way to retrieve them after your workshop. She will arrange shipping to SOME locations. Overall a really enjoyable experience!

Visited the Algarve with family recently and the tile painting workshop in Silves was a highlight. Margarida, the artist and teacher was lovely and did a great job helping us to learn the process and to take it on ourselves. We had the opportunity to paint two tiles and though we were not around to pick them up 3 days later, were able to have them shipped home. The castle is nearby and a great stop before or after the workshop. Great family memories with some unique souvenirs as a bonus.

Our experience with Margarida was fantastic! She is warm, patient, and very helpful as we learned how to paint tiles. We had a group that ranged in age from 4 - 64, and we all had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this workshop!

Fabulous!!!! Felt like a real artist! Instructions were easy to understand and we were able to complete 2 tiles!!!! I would highly recommend, especially if you’re on a girls trip!!!

I am not an artist... but this class was something I thought my (grown) daughters and I would enjoy trying. Our teacher was incredibly patient and encouraging! I didn't realize the tiles would take so long to fire and finish, but am hopeful they'll tolerate the trip back to the US more intact via shipping! Silves is a lovely village, we also enjoyed a little shopping and a meal there!
