Gebouwd op de top van een klif, de kapel van Sra. Bij Da Rocha kunt u de prachtige kust en rotsformaties bewonderen. In westelijke richting wordt u voorgesteld aan het dorp Ferragudo, een traditioneel vissersdorp dat uitkijkt over de monding van Portimão. Nadat u de rivier de Arade bent overgestoken via de oude brug, krijgt u de gelegenheid om vanaf de top van het uitkijkpunt Fort van Santa Catarina, de rivier, de monding van de rivier en het lange Praia da Rocha te overdenken. Aangekomen in de charmante stad Lagos zal een optionele boottocht van een uur u verbazen terwijl het onze toeristen naar de grotten en rotsformaties van Ponta da Piedade brengt. Een must-do-ervaring. Het historische centrum heeft nog steeds zijn karakteristieke karakter, met geplaveide straatjes, authentieke restaurants en een ontspannen en gastvrije sfeer. Een fascinerende en onvergetelijke tocht langs de kust. Een geweldige ervaring om nooit te vergeten.

Op het prachtige voorgebergte van Senhora da Rocha staat de kapel van Senhora da Rocha. Volgens historische bronnen werd de kapel omringd door een oud fort (15e eeuw), dat de hele kust tussen Faro en Lagos domineerde en de bevolking en de kust beschermde, maar het fort werd verwoest tijdens de aardbeving van 1755.
Loop langs de geplaveide straatjes van dit pittoreske dorpje. U krijgt de gelegenheid om de heuvel op te gaan naar het uitkijkpunt van de hoofdkerk van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van de Conceptie (prachtig uitzicht voor foto's van de stad Portimão en de rivier de Arade). Afdaling naar Angrinha Beach door Praia Grande
We gaan verder naar Praia da Rocha en bezoeken het fort van Santa Catarina om de rivier de Arade, de monding en het beroemde strand van Praia da Rocha te bewonderen. Uitstekende tijd om te "stoppen" en wat te drinken voordat je naar Lagos gaat.
Boottocht door de verbazingwekkende grotten en adembenemende rotsformaties van Ponta da Piedade. Een must-do-ervaring. Duur: 1u 15m (OPTIONEEL) - Toeslag - Volwassenen: € 20 / Kinderen Bezoek aan de gemeentelijke markt van Lagos en het uitkijkpunt om de jachthaven en Meia Praia te bewonderen. Een zeer ontspannende plek om iets te drinken en foto's te maken. Vrije tijd voor wandeling en lunch. Ontmoetingspunt na de lunch: standbeeld van D. Sebastião op Praça Gil Eanes Geleid bezoek te voet, door het centrum van Lagos, langs de slavenmarkt (de eerste slavenmarkt in Europa) en de Santo António-kerk (18e eeuw - een enkel stuk architectuur). Maak kennis met de boog van Saint Gonçalo (een historische toegangspoort tot de oude binnenstad van Lagos) en het standbeeld van dezelfde heilige, waar u kunt genieten van een ideale omgeving voor foto's (Meia Praia, Praia da Batata; en het kleine fort van Ponta da Bandeira). Kort bezoek aan Praia do Pinhão en Ponta da Piedade (waar u de vuurtoren en de kliffen met verborgen stranden kunt bewonderen).
Bezoek aan de gemeentelijke markt van Lagos en het uitkijkpunt om de jachthaven en Meia Praia te bewonderen. Een zeer ontspannende plek om iets te drinken en foto's te maken.

We spent a lovely day with Johnny and saw the lovely sights that the Algarve coast had to offer. As soon as Johnny picked us up he said that the day was "about us" and that he would tailor the day around us. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the history of the region and gave the impression that he is passionate about the subject and proud of his country. We very much enjoyed walking around Lagos with Johnny and will definitely go back and spend more time there in the future and would also like to explore the caves in that part of the coast and Johnny has offered to help us book that in the future. All in all we had a lovely day and feel that we have found a new friend.

Johnny was the best private tour guide we had during our 2-week Portugal adventure. My friends and I booked this tour in advance of our visit to Algarve (there were six of us). Johnny arrived to pick us up at our hotel and we immediately knew it would be a fun day! He is warm, welcoming, and super knowledgeable. He customized the itinerary to make sure we didn’t overlap with anything else. We were going to see other days. He even booked us to see the Benagil caves as part of our day, which helped we had planned on doing on a separate day which helped consolidate our activities and allow more free time. He took us to so many breathtaking places and was so wonderful. I can’t recommend him enough. Johnny gave us an excellent tour. We saw a stork farm (that's what we called it), quite a bit of fascinating coastline, and coastal boardwalks that gave great views. Johnny never rushed us and answered all of our questions. He has a great depth of Knowledge about the local environment, including problems with algae incursions, and local (Algarve) history.
We so very much appreciated Johnny's texts to us preceding our day tour. He carefully arranged a boat tour to Beagil caves - perfect time of day and operated by a courteous and informative crew that took us along the beautiful coastline and into spectular caves. Johnny's tour included a stop to see handpainted tile work - so pretty! and lunch overlooking a beautiful beach. We stopped at several amazing overlooks. Thank you, Johnny, for a wonderful day!
