Welkom aan boord, iedereen! Vandaag maken we een van de mooiste ritten in Zuid-Californië. We vertrekken vanuit Santa Monica en rijden noordwaarts langs de wereldberoemde Pacific Coast Highway, de kustlijn volgend tot Malibu. We rijden nu over de legendarische Pacific Coast Highway, of PCH, officieel bekend als California State Route 1. Dit is een van de mooiste snelwegen ter wereld, die zich uitstrekt over meer dan 650 mijl langs de kustlijn van Californië. Het gedeelte dat we reizen tussen Santa Monica en Malibu is vooral beroemd om zijn adembenemende uitzicht op de oceaan, prachtige stranden en luxe huizen aan het strand. Onze reis brengt ons naar het noorden langs de Pacific Coast Highway helemaal naar Zuma Beach, een van Malibu's grootste en populairste stranden. Daar keren we ons om en beginnen we aan onze schilderachtige rit langs de kustlijn, zodat u kunt genieten van het uitzicht op de oceaan vanuit een geheel nieuw perspectief. Vanaf daar verlaten we de snelweg en rijden we de heuvels in naar Point Dume, waar u een van de meest adembenemende panoramische uitzichtpunten van heel Malibu zult ervaren. Het is de perfecte combinatie van prachtige stranden, dramatische kliffen en een klassiek landschap in Zuid-Californië.
Aan uw rechterhand is Point Dume, een van Malibu's meest spectaculaire natuurlijke bezienswaardigheden. Deze dramatische klif steekt uit boven de Stille Oceaan en biedt een panoramisch uitzicht op de kustlijn in alle richtingen. Het is een favoriete plek om te wandelen, fotograferen en, tijdens de wintermaanden, een van de beste plekken in Zuid-Californië om migrerende grijze walvissen te bekijken. Point Dume is ook verschenen in tientallen films, tv-programma's en reclamespots dankzij de ruige kliffen en het perfecte Californische landschap. Op een heldere dag kun je vaak vanaf de top helemaal tot Catalina Island kijken.

Nice trip, a lot has been told. Many tips also where you should go to eat or swim. Enthusiastic driver. Every now and then we had to add music and guess which artist we heard. Laughable.
Forewarning you are taking a chance with booking this tour. I booked a month ago in advance and arrived 2 hours in advance but the owner/tour operator no showed to our tour. Very sad when we made very early transportion arrangements from Burbank. Viator should be ashamed to allow booking of this company through their website as others have stated the same about this owner/company. It may be a hit and miss but not worth taking a chance, I would go with a more reliable tour as this one ruins vacations and doesn't care about rescheduling or cancelling. Thanks Viator for or a waste of our time.

This was a fun way to experience Malibu. My tour guide Adam was great. He did a great job explaining the history of Malibu, while at the same time showing me some celebrity homes and other places of interest. Malibu itself was very picturesque and breathtaking. If you're in the LA area, and want to experience Malibu without worrying about parking and traffic, then this is the way to go, and I would definitely recommend this tour.
Too bad, I read your comments with very good references, but in my case I was cancelled just a day earlier and modified my travel plans, I definitely do not recommend it. Although they sent me a Mail a few hours earlier, they didn’t give me any reason or even any alternative, they just cancelled me. I'm waiting for my refund that I'm told will be 3 to 4 days...
Excellent tour! Dave our tour guide was phenomenal and his knowledge of the area was on point 👍🏽 we learned so much and truly enjoyed the open air jeep which made it all that more fun 🤩
We had a wonderful time on our Malibu tour with Surf City Tours.! Ir was extremely informative and Dave was a font of information! We also had an opportunity view the homes of Pierce Brosnan, Lady Gaga, Cher and Bob Dylan.

I learned about this tour from a recent article about tourism in LA and local businesses who needed support this year. I'm so happy that I read it and signed up for the Malibu tour. I had no expectations except that it would be a sunny day for a beach trip but it ended up cloudy but no worries, it made it seem even more impressive without the sun! We met at the Poseidon shop and checked in with the very nice staff and ordered some hot tea! We met Dave our tour guide, he was very personable and friendly. We had a full bus, 12 of us. I loved that it was open air, nothing beats a trip on the PCH with the wind blowing in your hair and the beach in sight! I also loved that we could hear Dave perfectly throughout the whole trip and we didn't have to wear any headsets! He also provided chargers for cell phones which really helped me out because I kept taking pictures and videos of everything. We enjoyed learning the history of Malibu, the location of where many films were shot especially The Planet of the Apes, best beaches to go to, and the timing and options for breaks were perfect. We also had time to take photo ops at some of the great locations. Dave had plenty of info to share and answered all of our questions, we had a good interactive group. I would recommend this tour for anyone especially for the history, the beautiful views, and the quiet charm of Malibu.
