Begin met ophalen bij je hotel op Madeira, of de haven van Funchal, en bezoek de wijnmakerij Henriques & Henriques. Volg een rondleiding door de faciliteit en leer over de geschiedenis en productie van hun fijne Madeira-wijnen. Leer meer over de verschillende soorten druiven die worden verbouwd en verschillende smaakprofielen. Proef verschillende wijnen om uw bezoek af te ronden. Na de rondleiding door de wijnmakerij reist u naar het uitkijkpunt Rancho en ziet u het prachtige landschap van Câmara de Lobos, de Atlantische oceaan en de klif van Cabo Girão. Tot slot wordt u teruggebracht naar uw hotel.

Bezoek de wijnmakerij Henriques & Henriques en volg een rondleiding door de faciliteit om alles te weten te komen over het productieproces, gevolgd door proeverijen van Madeira-wijnen.
We zullen een kijkje nemen op het uitkijkpunt van Rancho waar we de cabo girao-klif en ook de stad Camara de Lobos kunnen zien. Als je wilt, kun je met de kabelbaan naar de kust (tegen betaling).

It is posted as half day, buy be prepared for longer. We were collected from our hotel at 09.00, by our driver, the lovely Ruben. We collected our fellow imbibers and set off for the vineyard at the North of the island. A lovely guide (Sheena?) greeted us & we walked though the terraced vines, stopping for information en route. Then, back to the lovely hall for the all-important tasting. We were presented with 6 wines: 3 whites, 1 rose & 2 reds. All good, then we were left to chat and finish the bottles! On the way back, we stopped at a viewing platform, then a fishing village. Getting dropped at our hotel at 14.45. An excellent trip and brilliant value.
The guide was nice but the tour was extremely overpriced and definitely not worth the money. Limited information is given prior to the tour. Wine tasting was short.

If you want to explore Madeira at your own pace look no further. We had excellent 3 days exploring Madeira with Richard from Pearl of Atlantic! We booked Wine Tour, Funchal / History Tour and Gardens Tour, as well as Santana and Levedas tour. This is the best company to help you to enjoy the history, nature and unique character of the island. Richard is excellent guide – easy going and relaxed, knowledgeable and great sense of humour. He is keen to show you a bit more than a standard tour, taking to interesting places, excellent view points and hidden gems. I have a bit of vertigo, so he made sure we didn’t go to any places where I might feel uncomfortable, choosing the roads and stopping points carefully and thoughtfully. He truly looks after you and makes sure you have the best experience possible. Nothing is too much to ask. Excellent 3 days exploring Madeira with Richard from Pearl of Atlantic! Thoroughly recommended!
Very good accommodation pleasant staff good weather and good value, plenty of places to eat in Funchal. All in all very good.
Very disappointing to be honest. Was supposed to be 3hrs we were picked up and dropped back to our hotel all in 2 1/2hrs. It was expensive for what it was. We went to a view point, then to one Madeiran winery, tasted the 6 wines they had and were offered more to taste at a small cost. After the tasting our guide was more interested in his phone than us. It would obviously be more cost effective if there were more than two of you but we could’ve done it cheaper by getting a taxi from Funchal ourselves, as the location of the winery is only in Camra Los Lobos.
As well as the Madeira wine tasting, it included a couple of stops at viewpoints in the countryside, and explained how the grapes were grown, and a short explanation of the history of Madeira wine. This made it a really interesting experience. Very good guide. Recommended.
Together with my girlfriend I've traveled through Madeira for a month. We heard the best stories from our parents about the Madeira Wine, so of course we had to try it! Our guide was very friendly and he knew everything about the island and the Madeira Wine. Before the tasting we headed to a beautiful viewpoint where he told us more about the region and the vineyards. After that we had an amazing tasting at Henriques & Henriques and tasted 7 different kind of Madeira Wines. We loved this tour and learned so much about the history of the wines and had a great experience. 10 out of 10 for sure!
What a wonderful tour! Our guide, Marco, was so knowledgeable about the island, its history and people. We had such an enjoyable time with him, falling in love with Madeira all along the way! Our tasting stops were highlights, made more so by Marco’s informative stories and explanations. We highly recommend this tour AND Marco! We will definitely be back!
Not just a wine tour! Richard hosted the tasting of six Madeira wines at H&H. He was very knowledgeable about all of the wines and the processes used to produce them. Aside from the wine tasting, we were taken to several view points of the city (Funchal) and enjoyed his informative commentary. Superb tour, thoroughly recommend to any visitor to Madeira who's interested in wine.
