Dit is de beste optie om Machu Picchu te bezoeken als je niet te vroeg wakker wilt worden. Met deze optie om Machu Picchu per trein te bezoeken, kunt u om 08:30 uur vertrekken vanuit Cusco. U kunt Machu Picchu bezoeken tijdens de middag en een deel van de middag zonder risico op bewolkt weer, dat gewoonlijk in de ochtend gebeurt, van december tot maart.

In de ochtend 08:30 uur halen we u op van uw hotel in Cusco, om u naar het treinstation van Ollantaytambo te brengen (autorit van 1 uur en ongeveer 40 minuten). Eenmaal op het treinstation van Ollantaytambo stapt u in de trein om naar de stad Aguas Calientes te gaan (treinreis van ongeveer 2 uur). Tijdens de treinreis geniet je van prachtige en charmante landschappen met bergen en jungle uit het zuiden van Peru (inclusief snacks in de trein). Eenmaal aangekomen in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu-stad), staan onze medewerkers klaar om je naar het busstation te brengen, waar je aan boord gaat van de bus die een zigzagpad maakt naar de berg waar Machu Picchu zich bevindt (busreis van 30 minuten) ). Daarna gaan we naar de ingang van Machu Picchu, waar je je tickets en bijbehorende identificatiedocumenten moet presenteren, vanaf deze plek start je de rondleiding in de citadel van Machu Picchu, bezoek je de belangrijkste locaties van de stad met onze gids die geven u alle informatie en geschiedenis van Machu Picchu voor ongeveer 2 tot 3 uur, we bezoeken de citadel en plaatsen zoals: het Grote Plein, de Circulaire Toren, de Koninklijke kamers, onder andere nodigen we u uit om te openen de zintuigen en vul met de grote energie die deze majestueuze plek verbergt. Op gepaste tijd neemt u de bus vanaf de ingang van Machu Picchu naar de stad Aguas Calientes, waar u kunt lunchen in een van de restaurants van de stad (lunch niet inbegrepen). waar u eventueel de Hot Springs in Aguas Calientes ten noorden van de stad kunt bezoeken. Op de afgesproken tijd 18:30 uur neemt u de trein om terug te gaan van Aguas Calientes naar Ollantaytambo (treinreis van 2 uur appox.), Waar onze medewerkers op u wachten met een bord met uw naam om u naar de stad Cuzco. Aankomsttijd naar Cusco 22:30 ongeveer.

Great company, I booked 4 days in ahead and they were able to get everything booked. All I had to do was show up. Katheryn Vargas did all the booking and planning for me she was great responded right away and made sure I had everything I asked for
We had the most fabulous experience at Machu Picchu, the site itself is the most majestic and unspoiled cultural ruins we’ve ever visited and we rate it 10/10. A must see! Before our visit, Katheryn helped us to have as smooth an excursion as possible. Both of the private bus drivers were lovely and safe driver, I know Yuri was one man and I didn’t catch the other man’s name. Noé, our guide in Machu Picchu was phenomenal, he was a wealth of knowledge and very friendly too! A few points we would ask the tour operator and (operators at Machu Picchu also) to consider; 1) We felt the check in information session was a waste of time and cost of an extra taxi for us as we stopped here from airport and then onto hotel. The tickets and information could simply be emailed to customer. 2) We were told to bring snacks and water which we did, however most was gone before we got into MP, and what was left was warm. A suggestion would be to have guide carry a cool drink for the (four) people in group. And also be more mindful to bring group into shaded areas for discussions and historical info. 3) For operators of MP. Make a stand for people waiting in LONG HOT queues for their timed entrance to MP. It could b a sustainable one to fit in with the beautiful nature of the area!
Yes, impressive besides that the translation from Cusco to the place is immense!! 2.5h by car - 1.5h by slow train - and still about 40min bus ride the worst thing since experience were the queues for translators, So many people, so, even huge! I think it's about 4200 people a day .
