Machu Picchu Day Trip gaat op avontuur om de Peruaanse Andes te verkennen, bedekt met de dichte vegetatie van het nevelwoud. Deze spectaculaire stad is een complex van paleizen, tempels, huizen, opslagplaatsen, pleinen en scholen. De citadel ligt op een hoge traprug, omringd door bergen en de rivier de Urubamba. Geleerden proberen nog steeds de mysteries van “de verloren stad van de Inca’s” te ontrafelen. Kom en neem deel aan deze expedities om deze oude stad te bezoeken die verlaten is in het begin van de 16e eeuw. We halen je rond 04.00 uur op bij je hotel in Cusco, afhankelijk van het treinschema, en rijden door de bergen naar Ollantaytambo. Hier begin je aan een 1,5 uur durende expeditietreinreis naar Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes). Bij aankomst in Aguas Calientes zal uw gids u begroeten, de hoogtepunten van de stad laten zien en vrije tijd vrijmaken voor verkenning. Ga vervolgens naar het busstation voor een mooie rit van 30 minuten naar Machu Picchu. Nadat je het Checkpoint hebt verlaten, kun je genieten van een 2-3 uur durende rondleiding door Machu Picchu met je Engelssprekende gids, waarbij je de terrassen, uitkijkpunten, tempels en paleizen ontdekt. Na Machu Picchu keert u per bus terug naar Aguas Calientes voor de lunch (niet inbegrepen). Neem ten slotte de expeditietrein en bus terug naar Cusco, waar u rond 19.30 uur wordt afgezet bij uw hotel.

My daughter & I went on an Amazon jungle expedition, & had one day to visit Machu Picchu before heading home. I read the description of this tour on Get Your Guide. It provided all the transportation & tickets we needed to visit the site. Our guide Eduardo met us at the entry gate & accompanied us through the site for our 3 hour tour, providing a detailed history of the world wonder. He also recommended a fabulous place for lunch in the town at the conclusion of the tour. I highly recommend this one day tour if you are pressed for time!

Incredible scenery and wonderful breakfast and lunch on the way up the mountain, but be aware the air is very thin and the climb is not easy, i am 68 and my partner 63 we both found it very tough going, but getting to the peak and seeing Machu Picchu was worth the struggle

Had a memorable 2 days in Machu Picchu! Roger and Rosa were our guide, atrentive, kind, knowledgeable. The short Inca Trail hike into Machu Picchu is the way to first experience the sight. We had a great full-day tour to Machu Picchu. Everything was smooth from the start, with a guide helping us on the bus from the hotel and train to Aguas Calientes, and then another guide Elias took over. Elias was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and kind. He explained the history of Machu Picchu in a clear and engaging way, made sure everyone was comfortable, and kept a great pace throughout the visit. He was also very patient, answered all our questions, and went out of his way to show us the best viewpoints and photo spots. His passion was contagious!! Highly recommend this tour, and especially Elias as a guide!

Fredy is a fantastic tour guide - a wealth of local knowledge and experience he shares. From history to local plants and sights. As a guide he goes at "your pace". He speaks multiple languages, English very well. The tour I took thru TreXperience was the Machu Picchu climb up Machu Picchu Mountain. 2000ft climb of endless Inca stairs; but spectacular, thru tropical forests with native plants, birds, and animals. Then a tour round Machu Picchu at the end Fredy is very fit, and we went steadily up with breaks for scenery, water, etc. The climb to the peak is rated at 4hrs return, and you must be fit to do it. Having a guide was great as he pointed out the sights, history, as we climbed. Not just a "peak bagging" hike Fredy is an experience guide on longer routes too

The tour was very well organized, they divided us in small groups of 2/3 people and our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Machu Picchu. Strongly recommended!
