Lyon Food Tour biedt een unieke gastronomische ervaring van 4 uur met lunch. Onder begeleiding van een gepassioneerde lokale gids ontdek je de hoofdstad van de gastronomie tijdens een ritmisch bezoek vol ongewone anekdotes en uitzonderlijke culinaire proeverijen. Verken plekken die je gezien moet hebben, ontmoet lokale ambachtslieden en proef producten die zich identificeren met de reputatie van het erfgoed van Lyon. De tour is beperkt tot maximaal 12 reizigers. De lengte van deze tocht bedraagt ongeveer 2 km.

We explored Vieux Lyon with this food tour and got all the ins and outs about the gastronomic capital of France! Our guide told us interesting facts about the city, took us through some hidden passages and to authentic places to have us taste the best of the best. The cheese store was a reel discovery, as we got to taste local cheese and learnt how to pair them with wine. We got a generous tasting of different cold cuts and now know how to differentiate them (these were also paired with wine), and had some local delicacies at a traditional Bouchon. The tour ended with a typical pink sweet brioche like pie and coffee in another cute corner of town. The tour was well balanced between walking and tastings and even a visit to a silk workshop to learn about the ancient silk techniques. We got a useful list of recommendations in the end of restaurants where local people go (it is very easy to fall for a tourist trap in Lyon when it comes to food, so this came in handy!). Strongly recommend this tour and to plan it early during your stay in Lyon!

Our guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable and confident. Managed a large group of people very well. Provided information in an interesting manner and could tell she loved the history if the old town.

Nathalie was excellent, really knew about the culture, history and foods of Lyon. Highly recommend this tour especially if you have Nathalie guiding you. The foods we sampled were all delicious and hit the spot.

This was well worth doing. Our guide, Nathalie, was wonderful, so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing her affection for Lyon. The tour was well-paced (never rushed, time for questions and conversation, and relaxed tastings). The shop owners were warm and welcoming and the food was nicely presented and abundant.
