Ryu was so fun and helpful, we had a great time. He was very good about fitting a lot of activities into a short day!
Ryu did a great job!! He was super nice, knowledgeable and accommodating to our requests! His car is clean and new, very comfortable during the hot Japan summer! He picked us up directly from the cruise port and it was so easy! We highly recommend and will call him again if we are in town! Thank you, Ryu!!
Great private tour and experience with Ryu. The tour was well organized by Ryu and my kids (13 and 15 yo) really enjoyed. We saw the highlights of Kyoto and enjoyed a nice lunch with Udon. Highly recommended if you want to comfortably visit a beautiful city like Kyoto.

Ryu was amazing and cared about our comfort and experience. He was a true professional. He made us feel like we were at home during this trip. Great guide.
Amazing. Our guide Ryu helped out a lot with amazing recommendations and plenty of guidance with our travels. Very informative and you definitely will get a bang for your buck.
This was my second time in as many months doing this tour. First time was solo, and that’s when I met Ryu. The second time I brought 3 members of my family back as a graduation present for my youngest son! I couldn’t have been happier with the decision! Ryu is top tier, he’s funny, relatable, extra professional, extremely accommodating, and treated us like royalty our entire time with him. We never felt rushed, he always was checking in and making sure we had what we needed but also keeping everything running smoothly. I felt like I got a complete steal on this tour. I couldn’t have asked for a better way, on limited time, to see two incredible cities. The car was immaculate, his driving was exceptional, and he kept us entertained for the duration of the tour. If you’re wanting a personally catered experience with a true local who has great people skills, and really listens to what the client wants and works hard to make it the best possible experience, look no further! Ask for Ryu, you won’t be disappointed! 10/10!
Great experience all around, great driver, very accommodating and friendly! Couldnt of asked for a better tour guide!
Ryu was an excellent guide. He shared extensive knowledge about Kyoto’s history, culture, and the many sites we visited, making the experience both enjoyable and informative. He took us to all of the key destinations we wanted to see and made the day seamless from start to finish. Ryu also took many wonderful photos that will help us remember our trip. We highly recommend booking a tour with Ryu—our entire family had a fantastic time!
Thank you so much for these kind words and for choosing to spend your day in Kyoto with me! It truly means a lot to hear that the history and culture I shared made the experience more meaningful for your family, and that we were able to visit all the places on your list. I had a wonderful time getting to know all of you, and I’m so glad the photos will help bring back those memories for years to come. Thank you again for the recommendation—I hope to welcome you back to Japan again someday!
Needs to up his game. I have to say this was one of the disappointing private tours we've had. Seemed disinterested as a tour guide from the off set. Gave minimal information and really felt we were inconveniencing him with our questions and requests. We thought this would be one of the highlights of our Japan trip but now really feel we'd need to visit again with a different guide to get the true essence of these amazing destinations. Just to add he was consistently was using his phone whilst driving (shopping, checking Instagram, etc.). Gave 2/5 as the photos came out well and got us to where we needed to go and connected with my teenagers. English was good too.
