Lukomir Wandeling : Volledige dagtocht naar het hoogste bergdorp van Bosnië

Lukomir ligt op 1.469 meter boven zeeniveau aan de rand van de Rakitnica Canyon — de diepste ongerepte rivierkloof in de westelijke Balkan en een van de meest dramatische wandelbestemmingen in heel Europa. Deze dagwandeling met kleine groepen vanuit Sarajevo brengt u naar Bosnië's hoogst gelegen permanent bewoonde dorp, waar stenen huizen, traditionele kleding en herders die het plateau oversteken eeuwenlang onveranderd zijn gebleven. De route volgt de canyonrand over het Bjelašnica-plateau — open uitzicht op de bergen, schone lucht en een stilte die maar weinig reizigers ooit bereiken. De wandeling is matige moeilijkheidsgraad, geschikt voor iedereen in goede fysieke conditie met comfortabele trailschoenen. Geen technische ervaring vereist. Je lokale Gids bepaalt een tempo dat de hele dag van 8-10 uur voor de groep werkt. This was a wonderful hike with beautiful views of mountain meadows with wildflowers, forest and the canyon below. Along the way we met a shepherd from Lukomir watching over her flock. Afterwards I enjoyed a delicious meal in the home of one of the Lukomir families. And talking with the hike guide gave me additional insight into life in Bosnia. Overall it was a great experience and an interesting break from the normal sightseeing.

We completed the Lukomir Village Hiking Tour today and it was an amazing trip. Almedin, from Tallest Tourguide Tours, accompanied us. The team: Almedin, our hiking guide Hedija, and driver were an absolute pleasure to be around. They were friendly, answered all our questions and provided great information. Our entire family enjoyed the hike, visiting the village and lunch. The tour started with a 2 to 2.5 hour hike to Lukomir. The scenery was spectacular and it was a refreshing break from the city. We then had a wonderful lunch in town, followed by a tour of the traditional village (with cute chickens, sheep, dogs, etc.). The people in the town were very friendly as well. I would definitely recommend this tour specifically and Almedin & Tallest Tour Guide in general to anyone visiting Sarajevo.
