Ontmoet uw gids bij het ontmoetingspunt in Zürich, leun achterover en geniet van een schilderachtige busrit door schilderachtige landschappen en langs de oevers van het Vierwoudstrekenmeer. Bij aankomst maakt een korte stadstour u kennis met de belangrijkste hoogtepunten van Luzern, waaronder de Kapelbrug en de nieuwe Concert- en Congreszaal.
Geniet van ongeveer 6 1⁄2 uur vrije tijd in de middag om deze unieke plek op eigen gelegenheid te ontdekken. Bezoek het Swiss Museum of Transport, het meest vooraanstaande museum voor transport in Europa en zijn Swiss Chocolate Adventure. Als kunstliefhebber mag u een bezoek aan het Rosengart Museum met werken van de beroemde kunstenaar Picasso en Paul Klee niet missen. This tour was amazing and our tour guide was the friendliest human. He went over everything in detail, stopped to take pictures and was just so full of light.
My family and I are frequent travelers who regularly book guided tours around the world, and 99% of the time, we have wonderful experiences. Unfortunately, this tour with Best of Switzerland Tours was a massive disappointment. We specifically booked a dedicated English-language tour. However, our guide, Anette, conducted the trip as a bilingual tour in both English and Spanish. While we understand that some tours are mixed, the execution here was completely unacceptable. First, Anette’s English proficiency was not up to par. It was incredibly difficult to understand her, and we found ourselves constantly trying to piece together her incomplete sentences just to understand what she was saying. Second, the commentary was heavily imbalanced. After providing just a few brief, hard-to-understand sentences in English, she would transition into lengthy narrations in Spanish. This is absolutely not what we paid for. We felt completely neglected as English-speaking guests and did not get the educational or enjoyable experience we were promised. We have reached out to the company directly to demand a full refund. If you are looking for a high-quality, clear English-guided tour, I would recommend requesting a different guide or look elsewhere else.
Lucerne is beautiful. U start off on a bus with a knowledgeable guide. When u arrive she brought us to a main area, pointed some sights then she leaves to take another tour somewhere and u r alone for SEVEN (7) hours. It’s way too long. We took a 1 hr boat ride ( just ok) , lunch, lots of snacks and luckily downloaded a walking tour so we had another hour of activities. Just take the train. It’s too much free time.
The drive was stunning, especially as we neared Luzerne. The informational flyer with suggested activities and map with clear meeting place was most helpful. We loved walking around just enjoying the beautiful location and the melding of people from around the world all enjoying a shared experience even though we didn't know any of them. After spending 2 hours cruising on the lake we had a luxuriously long and delicious lunch at Hotel Des Alps, right next to the Chapel Bridge. Even though it was a Sunday and most everything was closed, we filled our day with memories forever.
Beautiful city, wonderful places to visit, delicious food and our favorite was Rosengart museum of art.
A lot of walking beautiful views boat ride on the lake is worth the sites. Shopping and food are also great. A train ride back to Zurich was a faster more picturesque experience.
Highly recommended. The tour is very worthwhile. The city of Lucerne is amazing. The guide Alfredo and driver Carlos were very professional and friendly. Alfredo’s memories were very accurate for our stay in Lucerne.
The bus tour with stops going to Lucerne was great. My wife really loved the mesmerizing green Swiss landscapes. We had lunch by the river bank, the ambiance was stunning, the food was great, our server from the Philippines was very professional.
Glorified taxi service from Zurich to lucerne. Tour is in English and Spanish so always feels like you’re missing out on something. Got some interesting facts on the drive there but hard to keep up with the language changes. Once we got to lucerne was a 10-15 min walk from the bus stop to the centre but didn’t get any commentary on the way at all. When we stopped we didn’t get told any info about lucerne either so wasn’t really a walking tour we were promised. Also didn’t realise that there was an option on this trip to go up to one of the mountains so most people were doing that and only had less than an hour in lucerne which didn’t allow much time to ask the tour guide for suggestions or anything. Not worth it at all, might as well just get the train back and forth. Would not recommend this lucerne day trip at all!

This price reflects the added value of being accompanied by a guide who is available to assist with questions and logistics. Many guests appreciate this support, as navigating public transport in a foreign country can be challenging. We understand that a more flexible itinerary may not suit everyone, and we're sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations.
