Viator lists this excursion at 4pm but was at meeting point with no one there. Called and they said it was at 5:30. When inputting location in Uber, it puts us twenty minutes (walking) away. They said I requested pickup but when I initially put our resort address, it said they didn’t offer pickup. In the end, gave up.
Good afternoon, Mr. Dave, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave your review. We’re sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify a few details regarding your booking. As shown in our Viator message history, we initially contacted you to request your hotel name so we could arrange the transportation included in your tour. Once you provided this information, we sent you the pick-up time and all the details you needed to know before the activity. This message was sent more than 8 days before your tour date, but unfortunately, we did not receive a response. Regarding the tour time listed on Viator, please keep in mind that the release of baby sea turtles depends entirely on natural conditions. The turtles emerge from their nests according to their natural cycle, and the activity also depends on weather conditions. For this reason, the release is estimated to take place around 4:00 PM, but the time may change depending on the conditions of the day. During this season of this year, the activity generally took place around 5:00 PM, sometimes closer to 5:30 PM, as was the case on your tour date. For this reason, the scheduled pick-up time we provided was 4:10 PM. As explained during our phone conversation, you mentioned that you had not received our message with the pick-up instructions. However, our message history shows that you received and responded to our initial message requesting your hotel information, and we subsequently sent the tour details through the same communication channel. We understand your concerns and are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. At the same time, we would like to clarify that the information regarding your pick-up time and tour arrangements was sent to you in advance, along with the explanation that the schedule may vary due to the nature of this activity. Thank you for your understanding. Best regards,
An amazing experience. Got the t-shirt and a life time memory. Meet Tito Swim baby swim Olive Ridley Turtles - small species.
It was a great experience with newborn turtles helping them get to the ocean. We wore gloves to turn them around if they were going the wrong way. We got to hold them as well.
The wife and I always try to do something nature related on every trip we take. We both agreed this is one of the coolest things we have ever done. Guides were good, friendly and knowledgeable. Pickup was smooth. The whole process was fairly quick as we were done in about 45 minutes. You get an adoption certificate for one sea turtle but depending on how many people are on the tour you get to release a lot more. There were 5 people on this excursion and we released 150 sea turtles. One sort of drawback is the release is near many resorts so when you release them it draws a huge crowd even that late in the afternoon. The guides knew this so we walked down the beach quite a ways and the turtles were brought to us by the conservation team. Still ended up with 20-30 people around us to watch.
Nevershowed up as agreed or spot agreed..sent a picture but date time stamp showed was lying..then next day guide called to say there was a mix up in office and he was there to take me on tour while I was in next port with my cruise...this company lied big time..then viator put me through hell get my money back and still not return my certificate used
Holding the baby turtles was magical. Our guide was excellent very understanding of all the people that wanted to participate, but didn’t pay. He was calm and relaxed and unkind and very attentive to the five of us who had signed up. I would definitely recommend this.
Very informative, stunning experience. It was the highlight of our trip. We released the turtles at sunset on the beach.
So much fun,and just felt like you were making a difference, it started raining and we all got soaked but made it even more memorable, great experience, well worth it 👌 ❤️
We've done plenty of activities in Cabo over the years we've been coming and this rates up there with only one - our whale watching tour where we saw a few whales but a mega pod of thousands of dolphins. Didn't think that could be beat but this experience was right up there and maybe more so because of the educational aspect of our experience through our tour guide. So sad to hear that so few of these babies survives in the wild but that is nature and if our participation helps in any way to increase the odds even a little bit, it was well worth it.
