Maak een privéwandeling met gids in het Cantareira State Park, op ongeveer 40 minuten met een privévoertuig van het centrum van São Paulo. Het hoofddoel van de wandeling is om Pedra Grande (grote rots) te bereiken, een 1010 meter hoge uitkijktoren op ongeveer 5 kilometer afstand van de hoofdingang van het park (10 km heen en terug), waar bezoekers een van de meest prachtige uitzichten van Sao Paulo. Om het uitkijkpunt Pedra Grande te bereiken, wandelen bezoekers over onverharde wegen bergopwaarts, over paden met een lichte moeilijkheidsgraad en omgeven door inheems bos, weelderig landschap, kleine watervallen en dieren, vooral apen. Ongeveer anderhalf uur lopen vanaf de hoofdingang van het park, ligt een prachtig meer. Pauzeer aan de rand ervan en ga dan nog dertig minuten door om de uitkijktoren te bereiken. Eenmaal op het bovenste rustgebied van Pedra Grande, geniet u van het ongelooflijke uitzicht over de uitgestrektheid van São Paulo en kijkt u over de valleien naar de grootste stad op het zuidelijk halfrond.

We ontmoeten je bij je hotel en vertrekken naar het noorden van de stad. Na ongeveer vijftig minuten reizen komen we in Cantareira State Park, een natuurreservaat dat zich uitstrekt over meer dan 7.900 hectare: het equivalent van 8000 voetbalvelden!
Als we eenmaal in het Cantareira-gebergte zijn, beginnen we aan onze wandelroute die ons naar Pedra Grande leidt. Onderweg kunnen we het weelderige natuurlijke landschap en de kleine watervallen aanschouwen en de dieren observeren die in het park leven. Houd je ogen open en met een beetje geluk spot je apen! Na anderhalf uur wandelen maken we een stop aan de oever van Lago das Carpas, waar we weer op krachten kunnen komen en kunnen ontspannen midden in de natuur.
We zullen onze reis nog dertig minuten voortzetten, totdat we Pedra Grande bereiken, een uitkijkpunt op 1010 meter boven de zeespiegel van waaruit we kunnen genieten van een fantastisch uitzicht op São Paulo en de valleien rondom de stad. Het contrast tussen de metropool en het omringende bos is werkelijk geweldig!
Sluit af met een fantastische lunch in het restaurantcomplex "O Velhão" (niet inbegrepen) en geniet van de beroemde cachaça, de Braziliaanse nationale drank waarvan het restaurant vele variëteiten biedt.

Op de terugweg naar São Paulo krijgt u de gelegenheid om de gids om meer informatie te vragen over de flora en fauna, maar ook over de geschiedenis van dit gebied. This was a fantastic day walking the rainforest and seeing the expansive views back over Sao Paulo. Amazing. It is only a short car ride out of the city but you felt miles away. All of the arrangements on the day worked really well with hotel pick-up and drop-off. Communication throughout was really good. Denis, our guide for the day, was absolutely brilliant. Really friendly, great knowledge, excellent English and a fun sense of humour. Made it all really interesting and educational. Also everything was tailored around us (a family of three), what we wanted to see and how long we wanted to be walking. Highly recommended and great value.

Danilo from Gregtur picked us up at our Airbnb and was our guide for the walk up through the National Park to Big Rock for superlative views of São Paulo City. Danilo was a superb guide and we enjoyed his company right from the start . He told us so much about São Paulo, its culture, history and politics that it brought the place alive for us. He had a thoughtful and gentle manner which all of us loved. His English was superb. The walk itself up through the national park(rainforest) was beautiful. The views from the top down to the city were amazing. He gave us space to enjoy the views as a family but was very attentive to our needs. He took some beautiful photos of us and the views. It was a day that the four of us will never forget! I highly recommend the tour and Danilo as a guide. We had another tour booked with Gregturismo the next day and were delighted to find Danilo was our tour guide again!

Was searching very last minute for an outdoor activity the next morning and came in contact with Greg. He did an incredible job of pure customer service by working to coordinate with available guides, open parks, and my budget. I was picked up from my hotel, guided on a 5 hr hike, drank from fresh coconuts to rehydrate, then dropped off back at my hotel. All of this was done by Luiz. Such an amazing person. Delightful pair of walks up to Pedra Grande with an amazing view of all of Sao Paolo, then through the rainforest to waterfalls. Our guide Dennis was very knowledgeable, friendly and good company. Recommend most highly.
Outstanding views of São Paulo with some close encounters with sagui monkeys! Loved it! Guide explained local food and drinks at an amazing restaurant.
I didn’t post any pictures because I didn’t want to confuse the actual tour we did. I was unable to do the hike due to a last minute injury. The tour guide company was phenomenal at accommodating the change of plans and we were able to have a great day with Denis our guide. He was very knowledgeable and guided us with ease in English.
