Ik ben betrokken geweest bij de muziekbusiness, het runnen van mijn eigen label tot het contracteren als artiest, tot het managen van een rockband. Ik heb veel verhalen meegemaakt die ik graag wil doorgeven! Wat te verwachten Je zult niet geloven hoeveel muzikaal talent er in één klein iconisch straatje zat! The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Elton John, Black Sabbath, de lijst gaat maar door. Terwijl we door Soho trekken, ontdekken we verhalen over Jimi Hendrix, Oasis, de Beatles (en Paul McCartneys hoofdkwartier!) en hoe een kleine coffeeshop een rol speelde in het Britse RocknRoll. En niet te vergeten de meest iconische muzieklocatie in Londen waar zowat iedereen te vinden is! Bekijk waar de Beatles hun eerste release op Apple-platen hebben opgenomen en een beroemde comedyschets met een Beatle. Voor degenen die dat willen, we eindigen dan in een prachtige oude, historische Engelse pub, die door de jaren heen veel beroemde gasten heeft gehad, waar ik jullie verhalen zal vertellen over mijn persoonlijke betrokkenheid bij de muziekbusiness!

Je zult niet geloven hoeveel muzikaal talent er in één klein iconisch straatje was gepropt! De Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, Elton John...de lijst gaat maar door. We gaan verder naar waar Brian Epstein op een noodlottige avond in 1967 de legendarische Jimi Hendrix opvoerde! Ga naar Soho Square en zie waar het hoofdkantoor van Paul McCartney is gevestigd. British RocknRoll begon in deze koffiebar die net om de hoek ligt van misschien wel de beroemdste muzieklocaties in Londen, waar bijna elke grote artiest heeft gespeeld! Geniet van de plek waar John Lennon deelnam aan een beroemde komische routine. Ga op de plek staan waar een beroemde Oasis-albumhoes is genomen en ga vervolgens naar de studio waar David Bowie Ziggy opnam en waar de Beatles Hey Jude opnamen! Voor degenen die mijn eigen persoonlijke verhalen over mijn betrokkenheid bij muziek willen horen, eindigen we de tour in een prachtige oude historische pub die door de jaren heen veel beroemde gasten heeft gehad!

Evren was great! Loved walking in so many famous footsteps through the past 60 or so years. We were able to see bars, venues and studios where many band members got their start and performed. As a fellow Londoner, Evren had many personal stories to share. Besides stepping through rock and roll history we got to see some very cool parts of Soho. We especially enjoyed the ‘after tour’ stop at the oldest pub for a pint and more of Evren’s personal stories.

I highly recommend Evren and his tour! It was like walking around with a friend. He shows the historical spots of London’s rock ‘n’ roll history, of SoHo. Being that my father lived in London during the 60s, as a Mod, it was pretty cool to see some of the same theatres, concert halls, streets, and recording studios that has spoke about. This was the first item on our agenda, to start our week and a half long vacation. Fantastic way to start off our trip. Thank you Evren!

Evran was phenomenal. He offered so much information about the area, places that still exist or have disappeared but made an impact on the music scene; fun anecdotes, interesting historical facts…we felt like we were on a walk through SoHo with a friend. Loved hanging out at the end of the tour, in an old, historical pub and talk music with Evran and our tour-mates. A great way to discover some fun musical and historical information on a not-too-long of a walk. 12 and 14 year olds loved it too!

The tour was great. If you’re a fan of music or the music industry this is a must do while in England. If you’re looking for a place to see live music you will find it on the tour. There is so much to take in on this tour 👍👍👍👍 and the pub stop at the end was a nice touch.
