Bezoek de ongerepte natuurlijke schoonheid van Las Alpujarras. Een gebied van prachtige natuurlijke schoonheid met een heerlijk klimaat. De Alpujarra wordt gedomineerd door de prachtige ruige toppen van het hoogste gebergte van Spanje, de Sierra Nevada. Bewonder het prachtige uitzicht vanaf een uitzichtpunt in Lanjaron. Ontdek witte dorpjes en ontdek dat de eigenaardige architectuur van de eerste Moorse kolonisten op den duur blijft. We stoppen in Pampaneira en bezoeken een chocoladefabriek en verkennen de lokale winkels in ongeveer een uur vrije tijd. We kunnen deze route niet afmaken zonder de best bewaarde schat van het Alpujarras klimaat te kennen : De Trevelez ham, kaas, honing en water. Proef gastronomische typische gerechten en ambachtelijke producten van deze regio. Bezoek de beroemde "Fuente Agria" in Portugos, prachtige bron bekend om de genezende eigenschappen van zijn mineraalrijke water. Aan het einde kunt u genieten van een lunch als deze optie is geselecteerd, in Capileira, een dorp dat boven het prachtige ravijn van Poqueira-gebergte ligt.

De Alpujarra, zoals hij in de volksmond in het enkelvoud wordt genoemd, is in heel Spanje beroemd vanwege zijn unieke mini-ecologie. De terrasvormige landerijen worden constant bewaterd door de smeltende sneeuw van de toppen van de Sierra Nevada.

Bezoek een rustig klein dorpje ten zuiden van Granada in de regio Alpujarra, bezoek een chocoladefabriek en heb vrije tijd om de lokale winkels te verkennen.
De Fuente Agria-waterval bevindt zich in de buurt van de stad Pórtugos. Het is een waterval met zeer mineraalrijk.
De hoogte van dit dorp is 1476 meter (4843 voet) boven zeeniveau. De frisse berglucht maakt het perfect voor het inmaken van hammen. Proef gastronomische tapas, typische gerechten uit Trevelez.

Great day exploring the beautiful villages! Our guide Michael was very engaging, he gave us lots of info, and also drove very safely (I had been a little worried about the mountain roads as I have a fear of heights but it was not a problem at all)! We also had delicious (and plentiful) food! The tour is absolutely worth it!

Alexandra and Jose did a great job! The lunch was a traditional village lunch high on the processed meats and fried food. The villages were delightful and it was great to visit the ham shop and chocolate shops.

We had an absolutely wonderful day in this amazing region in the mountains with our terrific guide Alfredo who was friendly, knowledgeable and tried hard to ensure the tour was enjoyable to all. (He thoughtfully addressed my special dietary restrictions throughout the tour which was greatly appreciated.) The tour featured some special sites and experiences that gave us a view into the everyday life of living in small, off-the-grid towns with friendly people, beautiful artisan work, and delicious food. Amazing views from the Sierras. Tour guide, Frederic was fun and knowledgable and very helpful. Bus driver was very skilled going up amd doen the switchbacks without creating any concerns! Beautiful villages and other sites and a very nice tour of an Iberian jambom dey cure facility and retail outlet were we vot a generous sample tray of different jambon and sausage and cheese.

A fantastic full day experience at the Alpujarras. Breath taking views throughout the whole day. Professional explanation for all the places we visited. Our professional driver Michael is expert on the history of the place, has a very good English for explanation and statisfied with his driving ability for the zig zag ongoing roads. We highly recomend it as it is value for money paid

This was great trip with an excellent guide and very safe driver. The villages and other locations visited were interesting and our guide explained their history and importance. He is very enthusiastic about the history of the region. While there is a lot of sitting on a bus the scenery is breathtaking in places.
