De traditie van theeceremonie in onze familie is generaties lang doorgegeven, en ik leerde de praktijk van mijn vader. Tijdens de ervaring observeer je een theeceremoniedemonstratie, leer je over theegerei en etiquette, geniet je van seizoensgebonden Japanse zoetigheden en bereid je je eigen kom matcha. Je krijgt ook de kans om theegerei te ervaren dat zorgvuldig bewaard is gebleven binnen onze familie en een verbinding biedt met de levende tradities van Kyoto. Fantastic experience in Kyoto, super informative with an authentic feel. The tea master had so much focus and precision, it was like watching black belt martial arts of tea. Learned a lot about matcha history and got detailed explanations of what was happening from his very friendly and highly knowledgeable assistant. 10/10 recommend!

Manabu-san the tea master, and his assistant Paul were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the tea ceremony. We learned a lot while at the same time, they were very welcoming and patient as we are newcomers! Would recommend this as an activity for first-timers in Kyoto!

Six of us thoroughly enjoyed our tea ceremony. All staff were warm, friendly, and helpful. We were assisted with our kimonos and with every step of the ceremony. And our older group appreciated the chairs. Thank you for a memorable experience.

While it is not private, it is definitely intimate. Besides us there was only one other traveler and not much additional room. The tea master and his assistant were very knowledgeable and we learned a lot. Glad we did this. Kimono rental was an extra 1000 Yen but definitely worth it

Arrive promptly . We were kept waiting by one group which was annoying and seen as disrespectful to the tea master . Fascinating ceremony .
