In Kyoto Sumo Club kunt u genieten van sumo geschiedenis en cultuur met een authentieke sumo-stijl maaltijd en All-You-Can-Eat & All-You-Can-Drink. Geniet in het begin van een traditionele Japanse dans uitgevoerd door geisha in elegante kimono, die de toon zet voordat de sumoshow begint. De show begint met een traditionele geisha dans, gevolgd door live demonstraties van oefeningen, technieken en sumo etiquette. Kijk daarna naar een best-of-three wedstrijd tussen gepensioneerde sumoworstelaars. Je kunt ook in de ring stappen en een worstelaar uitdagen ※Uitdagingsplaatsen zijn beperkt; als er te veel inschrijvers zijn, worden de deelnemers via loterij gekozen ※Dit is een leuke, gezinsvriendelijke show, geen echte trainingssessie of toernooi Alle gasten ontvangen een souvenir geschenkzakje als aandenken aan hun sumo ervaring. Elke stoel biedt een intiem uitzicht op de sumo ring.

"03 december 2025 Nieuwe OPEN!!!" De razend populaire Asakusa Sumo Club in de wijk Asakusa in Tokio opent zijn eerste sumo show restaurant in het hart van Kyoto!!!! Dompel jezelf onder in de wereld van sumoworstelen in de Kyoto Sumo Club. Begin met een traditionele Japanse dans uitgevoerd door een geisha in een elegante kimono, die de toon zet voor de sumoshow. Bekijk live demonstraties van ochtendoefeningen, leer klassieke sumotechnieken en ontdek de essentiële do's en don'ts van sumoworstelen. Geniet vervolgens van een best-of-three wedstrijd tussen gepensioneerde professionele sumoworstelaars. Stap de ring in en daag een van de sumoworstelaars uit. Challenger spots zijn beperkt per show. Als er te veel aanmeldingen zijn, worden de deelnemers door loting geselecteerd. Geniet van een all-you-can-eat maaltijd met Chanko-nabe (kip hot pot), een traditioneel sumo-stijl gerecht. Neem na de show een souvenirzakje mee naar huis, een perfecte herinnering aan je sumo-ervaring.

- Houd er rekening mee dat de Sumo Show anders is dan een serieuze ochtendtraining of een sumotoernooi. Het is ontworpen als een leuke, gezinsvriendelijke entertainmentervaring voor zowel volwassenen als kinderen.
- Zorg dat je minimaal 30 minuten voor aanvang van de show aanwezig bent.
- Het aantal deelnemers voor de Sumo Challenge is beperkt. Als er veel inschrijvers zijn, worden de deelnemers door loting geselecteerd.
- Vegetarische en veganistische maaltijden zijn beschikbaar op aanvraag, maar moeten minstens 2 dagen van tevoren worden gereserveerd.
- Als je vrienden of familie apart geboekt hebben, voeg dan hun naam of boekingsnummer toe in de opmerkingen. Gelieve samen te komen indien mogelijk, zodat we kunnen proberen om u te plaatsen in hetzelfde gebied
- Gelieve ons vooraf te verwittigen indien uw groep twee of meer baby's jonger dan 2 jaar omvat.
- Baby’s van 0 t/m 1 jaar kunnen gratis deelnemen aan de Sumo Show.

It was so fun and over met our expectations! The dance ladies were beautiful and the sumo wrestlers did great demonstrations. Our 17 years daughter decided to challenge one of the wrestlers and she “won”! 😂😂😂. Highly recommend this show.
A true highlight of our Japan trip! They were all so much fun and my wrestler 17 year old son a got to wrestle one of these fun and awesome Sumo wrestlers! I would recommend this experience to all families!!!

Genuinely can not recommend this enough. 2 performances (technically 3) and unlimited food and drinks (alcohol included) for $100 is a steal. Everyone was so welcoming and fun. I didn't encounter a bad experience with anything. Remember, as the audience it is as fun as you will make it. Cheer loud and proud. They deserve it all <3. Much love from USA!! Everyone's rave reviews are spot on, great value, you literally get all you can eat of enjoyable food and drink. You also get a gift bag with several items, and I was amazed that they did not require us to pay for the picture at the end with the Super Bowl wrestlers and the geisha. Can't miss on this one!

This was easily my highlight of my trip. Good was good but the entertainment was excellent. The wrestlers were very funny and engaging. I strongly recommend this experience in Kyoto.
