Naru gave us an absolutely outstanding walking tour of Kyoto and was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Japan. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, and attentive throughout the day. He took the time to understand what we wanted to see, tailored the itinerary to our interests, and made excellent recommendations along the way—every one of them turned out to be a great choice. His knowledge of Kyoto’s history, culture, and hidden gems made every stop more meaningful. Despite less-than-ideal weather, we enjoyed every minute of the tour thanks to Naru’s positive attitude and thoughtful planning. He constantly checked in to make sure everyone was comfortable and adjusted the day seamlessly as needed. If you’re visiting Kyoto and want a guide who is personable, professional, and truly passionate about sharing his city, I can’t recommend Naru highly enough. We would book another tour with him without hesitation.
Had a great tour with Tammy. She was super knowledgeable about all the sites, and helping us get around Kyoto. She answered so many of our questions. This tour exceeded our expectations.
Went with family on a private tour with tour guide, Tammy. Could not recommend this experience more. We did a full day trip and it was perfect. Tammy guided us through multiple areas of Kyoto which we would have never been able to do on our own. We visited several of the more popular historical sites and shopping districts. Lunch was great. Tammy was very knowledgeable and interesting. She was also easy going and open to any questions or special requests we had. There are a lot of opportunities for breaks if needed and picture taking. Highly recommend.
Hiro was great! He was very knowledgeable and attentive to our interests. We took a bus, a tram, a metro, and a taxi - so we learned about various public transportation in Japan. We walked a lot but learned so much along the way! This is a perfect tour if you only have a few days in Kyoto!

I highly recommend this full day tour of Kyoto! My whole family of 7 enjoyed it and we have kids from 8-21 years old. Mieko, our guide, was patient, delightful and very knowledgeable. Her English was excellent, too. She gave us lots of history and information about all the sites we visited. We never felt rushed or pressured to do anything. Mieko even went above and beyond when my husband lost his water bottle on the train. She went to the lost and found at the train station, located it and offered to ship it to us-so kind and considerate. Overall, this tour was a great way to see all of Kyoto and well worth the money. I highly recommend!
This is an absolute must! We were staying in Tokyo and only had a day in Kyoto and were able to make the most of it with Olive, our private guide. She was very knowledgeable and was able to show us things that you would not know to look for in the various temples/shrines while providing interesting background about each location. She even let us pick our lunch and continued to provide helpful recommendations for our dinner while we waited for the trip back to Tokyo. Kyoto is truly beautiful and we would not have had the same quality experience without Olive. Just don't forget Yen and bring your walking shoes before embarking on this gorgeous day!
