De sessie begint met een heldere en inzichtelijke introductie in de culturele achtergrond en filosofie van de theeceremonie. Vervolgens observeert u een demonstratie door de gastheer, waarbij elke beweging met zorg, precisie en intentie wordt uitgevoerd. Daarna bereid je stap voor stap je eigen matcha. Aan het einde van de ervaring weet je niet alleen hoe je matcha maakt, maar krijg je ook een dieper begrip van de Japanse cultuur — en ervaar je een gevoel van rust. Deze ervaring is een ideale ervaring voor degenen die op zoek zijn naar iets zinvoller dan alleen een typische toeristische activiteit. 2 schalen Matcha (een door de gastheer, een gemaakt door u of met een metgezel) en traditionele seizoensgebonden Japanse zoetigheden zijn inbegrepen. Gunstig gelegen op slechts 5 - minuten lopen van Metro Karasuma Oike Station. U kunt de ervaring ook thuis voortzetten – matcha bereiden voor uzelf of voor een speciaal iemand – met behulp van zorgvuldig geselecteerde theeschalen en matcha die u ter plaatse kunt kopen.

Informative, fun and interactive tea ceremony. Yuko was amazing and so friendly. She explained everything and created a wonderful family memory.

We have been to Kyoto 5 times, family from the United States and by far this was the best learning experience for tea making and learning the tea culture. It was a beautiful ceremony and our children, ages 6 and 8, loved it and got to participate. Perfect right amount of time associated for kids this age and adults. We highly recommend this tea experience.
They did a good job overall. I enjoyed learning the traditional way to do the ceremony. I liked mixing the matcha and going through the small wall opening.
