Maak je eigen handgemaakte eetstokjes met zorgvuldig geselecteerd Kyoto hout in deze unieke culturele workshop. In deze hands-on ervaring vorm, snijd en maak je je eigen paar eetstokjes af terwijl je leert over Japans vakmanschap en de culturele rol die eetstokjes spelen in het dagelijks eten in Japan. De workshop vindt plaats in een traditioneel Kyoto machiya herenhuis en biedt een ontspannen en authentieke sfeer die de schoonheid en geschiedenis van Kyoto weerspiegelt. Elke deelnemer creëert een compleet uniek paar eetstokjes die dagelijks thuis gebruikt kunnen worden. Aan het einde van de ervaring neem je je handgemaakte eetstokjes mee naar huis als een zinvol en praktisch souvenir uit Kyoto.

Fun activity with friendly, helpful staff. Pleased with our results! The entrance didn’t have a sign so was quite tricky to find, but just go in!

It was fun to make it easy for women! It was fun to shave and it happened so fast!
It was fun choosing and making my original chopsticks! It was about less than an hour long but everything was a fantastic experience:) Grab your friends, family, or anyone to experience this amazing time!
You could choose cedar, cypress, or other lumber, and it smelled good when you shaved it. Cedar had a stronger scent. It was fun to be able to put the branding on the chopsticks that were made.
