Tatsumi Daimyojin is een Shinto-heiligdom in Kyoto, gewijd aan een godheid van bescherming, geluk en veiligheid, vooral voor reizigers en krijgers. Het werd gesticht tijdens de Heian periode (794-1185) en ligt in het Tatsumi gebied. Historisch gezien is het verbonden met de keizerlijke familie en samoerai. Takoma was a friendly guide who showed us around the Geisha district. Probably more info about Geisha life than I'd want to know, but Interesting nonetheless. As with most tours it left little time to take pictures or buy a postcard and you'll never remember how to meander back to where you were so you'll just have to find something else. Overall a nice 2 hour tour.
