- 7+ verrukkelijke Japanse proeverijen in Kyoto-stijl, genoeg voor een volledige dinermaaltijd, geserveerd in lokale restaurants (het menu kan elke keer variëren op basis van de verse ingrediënten op de markt). - 3 drankjes terwijl we het diner in lokale stijl proeven. U kunt ook uw drankjes kiezen (bier, sake en andere drankjes). Er zijn ook non-alcoholische dranken verkrijgbaar. - Verken Kyoto, bezoek populaire plekken en verborgen juweeltjes. Geniet van de unieke scènes van Nishiki Market, Pontocho en Kiyamachi. *laat het ons ongeveer een week voor de tourdatum weten als er voedselbeperkingen zijn. Vegetarische en veganistische opties zijn beperkt voor deze tour.

Nishiki Market is de traditionele voedselmarkt in het centrum van Kyoto. We stoppen bij 2-3 familiebedrijven om voedsel op proefformaat te proberen dat de eetcultuur en geschiedenis in Kyoto vertegenwoordigt.
We zullen 2-3 restaurants bezoeken om eten in Kyoto-stijl te proberen, variërend van Obanzai (keuken in Kyoto-stijl) tot lokale izakaya-gerechten.
We zullen door het Pontocho-district lopen, een mini-geisha-district waar we de geschiedenis van Kyoto en de geisha-cultuur zullen leren.

- Stuur ons een bericht als u voedselbeperkingen heeft ten minste een week voor de tourdatum. We kunnen niet voldoen aan last minute voedsel verzoeken. Veganistische, vegetarische en glutenvrije opties zijn beperkt.

We had a terrific and highly recommended experience. Started with soy milk donuts that were very and then move to a meal paired with 4 different sakes. Everything was delicious but my highlight was the waygu seared and the “cloudy” sake (never tried that before). The next restaurant was full of locals with outstanding food including a great sashimi with fresh products sold daily and a red snapper collas cooked with soy sauce that was great. We end up the experience in a very nice and local restaurant where the star was the fresh vegetables grew in their farm paired with different proteins. Shun was very friendly and open to answer any question with lots of very interesting facts that made time fly!
Leandra was a lovely tour guide. She was very knowledgeable. We loved the food we tasted, especially the A1 Kobe beef and the flight of sake! That experience alone at that izakaya was life-changing. Thank you for such a treat!
Our guide, Chikako, took our family of four on an evening food tour with a small group through Kyoto. Our stops included a few stands in Nishiki market and three different izakayas (ones we never would have found on our own). She was extremely knowledgeable about Japanese food and beverages, including regional specialties. She did a wonderful job teaching us about sake, food traditions/customs, and culture. She answered all our family’s many questions (including our ever-curious teen). And, she ordered a terrific variety of foods to try that pleased everyone. At the end of tour, we were all very full and very satisfied.
This was by far the best tour I’ve had in Japan. Leandra, our guide, was very easy to understand as she was an English speaker. She was able to give us the history of many different things beyond the scope of the food that we were eating. She was knowledgeable about the history of Japan, and many of the places that we have been to and I felt that not only did I get a great food tour with absolutely delicious foods, but I got a wonderful seminar on Japan and it’s culture. I could not recommend this tour high enough and I think if you truly want a great tour guide, please request Leandra.
