Ervaar de perfecte mix van avontuur, natuurbehoud en Fijiaanse gastvrijheid op Kuata Island, een adembenemend paradijs dat bekend staat om zijn warme wateren, prachtige locatie en gastvrije sfeer. Uw reis begint met een 1 uur en 45 minuten durende schilderachtige cruise vanuit Port Denarau, waarbij u langs de spectaculaire Mamanuca-eilanden komt voordat u aankomt op de zuidelijke Yasawa-eilanden, waar uw eilandavontuur begint. Tijdstippen en activiteiten: Eenmaal aangekomen wordt u verwelkomd op het eiland en vervolgens voorgesteld aan uw mariene bioloog. De dag begint met een presentatie die een overzicht geeft van hoe het Marine Sanctuary wordt beheerd, hoe het een Marine Protected Area werd, projectresultaten tot nu toe en een introductie tot huidige en toekomstige initiatieven. Er zullen twee belangrijke activiteiten zijn: 1) Een begeleide snorkel met de mariene bioloog naar de koraaltuinen van de resorts om de huidige natuurbeschermingsprojecten te zien en deel te nemen aan koraalregeneratie 2) Een kust- of intergetijdenwandeling met de residerende mariene bioloog

Barefoot Kuata Resort - Volledige dagtour U stapt in Port Denarau en vaart langs de prachtige Mamanuca-eilanden op weg naar het zuidelijke uiteinde van de Yasawa-eilanden, waar de geneugten van uw paradijselijke eiland op u wachten. Eenmaal aangekomen heb je ongeveer vijf uur aan wal om te lunchen, over het zandstrand te dwalen, te kajakken, een duik te nemen in de oceaan of te genieten van fantastisch snorkelen met kleurrijke koralen met een overvloed aan vissen.

Houd er rekening mee dat de vertrektijd die op uw tour wordt weergegeven de VERTREKTIJD VAN HET SCHIP VANAF PORT DEANRAU is, NIET DE OPHAALTIJD VAN UW COACH. Als u een hotel pick-up nodig heeft, selecteer dan uw hotel uit de lijst met pick-up punten in uw boekingsproces. Alle bustransfers moeten ten minste de dag voor uw tour vooraf worden geboekt bij ons reserveringskantoor door te bellen naar ons callcenter. De bus pick-ups beginnen ongeveer 75 minuten voordat het schip vertrekt uit Port Denarau. Fantastic experience overall. Got to swim with black tipped sharks in a snorting reef excursion in a memorable trip to Kuata. The hosts were very welcoming and the lunch buffet was excellent with a nice variety of food. Nice thing is they pick you up right at the front to your resort take you to the port and take you on your trip to the island. Would try this again!
Kuata Island is stunning!! So beautiful and the beautiful people were so welcoming!! They greeted us with singing on the beach!! I decided to snorkel with sharks instead of the presentation with the marine biologist, and it was no problem!! Snorkel with sharks was amazing and I felt very safe!! We saw several sharks!! Such a cool experience that I will never forget!! Lunch was the most amazing meal and best I have had in Fiji so far!! Great food and great service!! Highly, highly recommend!!

I lucked out and was the only person on the tour, so had guides Akex and Vinna all to myself! They educated me about the reef and then we snorkeled out to see it up close. It was one of the best snorkel tours I've ever been on. Abundant coral, of all sizes, shapes and colours. Lot of beautiful fish. Lunch and the cruise to/from Kuata Island were also great

Everything was very organized, from hotel pickup until the arrival at Kuata. South Sea Cruises really did a great job! The boat is like a public sea transportation. It stops in few islands. But don't worry, there's a clear instruction in the boat. You won't miss Kuata island. Kuata is a paradise! The staffs were so nice and friendly. Lunch was also good. I would love to stay for few days there.

My partner and I did the Kuata Island Marine Conversation Experience and had an amazing time! It was really interesting to learn about the local marine environment and more detail about coral. The talk by the Marine Biologist Rosanna before the guided snorkel with her made it so much more interesting because you saw everything she had already explained, so it all just clicked. It really was a great learning experience! So cool to see the efforts of protecting and restoring the coral reef by growing and replanting the coral. The bonus was seeing 5 black tip reef sharks during low tide at the end of our snorkel. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to not just see a coral reef but also learn about all the ins and outs! We hope to visit again in the future.

I was staying at Kuata and booked the Marine Conservation tour. This far exceeded expectations with a small group of 5 plus our very own marine biologist! The talk before hand was informative and interesting. I learnt so much about coral. The boat tour took us to two snorkel locations where we found 6 crown of thorns starfish killing coral to remove, saw the best coral I have ever seen, learnt more about fish species from marine biologist Rosanna snorkelling with us and even saw a couple of reef sharks! Highly recommend this tour! Thank you to the team. Even better than a day trip.. stay a night or two!

We booked three snorkeling tours for our first trip to Fiji: the Authentic Fijian Day Cruise (by Cruisin Fiji), the Kuata Island Marine Conservation Experience, and the Mantaray Island Day Trip. This one was by far the best. Don't get me wrong, the Cruisin Fiji people took us to excellent sites as well, but when it comes to snorkeling, nothing beats an MPA (marine protected area). It was simply stunning. It was, in some ways, better than Hawaii. Another plus? There was only two of us that day, so it basically became a private tour with a marine biologist (whose name was Oz, and he was wonderful!). We got to plant a few coral fragments and removed a crown-of-thorns starfish (Oz did it, not us, of course!). Thank you Oz and all the friendly staff at Barefoot Kuata who made this wonderful experience possible! My boyfriend is already talking about going back and staying at the Barefoot Kuata next time...

A fun day out beyond the Mamanucas to the base of the Yasawas. Very relaxing boat trip, and once on the island treated to delicious food. Cocktails were terrific! A beautiful island. I enjoyed the kayaking & paddle boarding . Met new people. All good.
