Even though I have only been in Ecuador for a day & a half, I see this experience being a highlight of my time here. EVerything went as advertised, a very positive & wonderful experience from start to finish. Thank you!

The food we prepared was great. The market trip was less than I had hoped for. I had hoped we’d try more things or at least have the chef tell us what we’d have back at the restaurant. I think that part needs some work. The restaurant we were at was wonderful. We were on the top floor and had it too ourselves with the kitchen.

This was an amazing experience! The market tour was really interesting and our guide explained so much a bout the culture and history as we went. For the cooking we made a request on the day to do ceviche and they were so accommodating, and we made THE BEST ceviche in the end! 10/10 would recommend. Our chef and guide was brilliant and so much fun, this was an unforgettable experience

The only thing which kept me from rating this a 5, was that due to some apparent internal miscommunication in the restaurant, our pickup was almost an hour late. That notwithingstanding, the cooking class was spectacular. Carolina the chef met my wife and me at Mercado Central and gave a tour of local fresh food purveyors, then we walked to the retaurant and proceeded to prepare one of the best meals we had in Ecudaor. We made a potato soup(a very common dish there), a main which was chock full of fresh veggies and whitefish(seafood also very common in Ecuador), and then a fresh fruit(using locally harvested fruits which stateside we would consider exotics, e.g., tree tomato, passion fruit, and several others) in chocolate soup desert, using 65% cacao Ecuadoran chocolate. We do these anytime we travel internationally, and I whole heartedly recommend this one. P.S. We're having over back home in Texas in a couple of weeks to prepare this same meal for them!

This was such a fun and educational experience. It was so neat to walk around the Mercado while Josue explained how and why so many foods are used. He also talked about Quito history as we walked around downtown. Josue explained well how to prep and cook the food and shared good cooking tips. The food was fairly easy to make which is nice so that we can replicate it. The restaurant (ClaroOscuro) we prepped the food in and ate it in was beautiful. The food was absolutely delicious. Incredible experience all around.

Vanessa was very accommodating; dishes were delicious, Market tour helped us value Ecuador’s wealth of tropical fruit. What a great way to get to know Ecuadorean cuisine!

We learned loads on this trip from the visit to the market and the cooking experience. We tried some different foods in the market. We made a lovely meal with help from the cooks and we will definitely try some of it again at home. Good value for money. We were very lucky as there were only the two of us on the tour. Staff and restaurant and chef very friendly.

I've taken cooking classes all over the world and this is one of the best. Chef Edwin knows his ingredients - Ecuadorian and French - and has many friends at the market. We sampled fruits, pork, creams and snacks before buying what we needed and heading to his restaurant to cook. Completely hands on, fun and delicious recipes - that I shall try when I get home. Highly recommended

This was awesome!!! Chef Edwin picked us up at our hotel and we walked to his favorite market. We learned about the typical fruits and vegetables in Ecuador and then got to decide what to cook. Edwin helped us pick out the ingredients and then we went back to his restaurant and cooked an amazing 3 course meal. It was so much fun and so delicious. Edwin was fantastic! Would totally do this again and highly recommend to anyone visiting Quito
