Hi There, Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. We're glad to hear you found your experience enjoyable and educational, and thank you for your honest feedback about finding our stories and spaces a bit too advance for the younger visitor. We are working on improving our spaces for all to access, which includes our younger audiences.
As a person who loves boats, I had a great time on the curry sark and enjoyed a great view at the meridian! Many purchases at the gift shop of the places!
It's Worth an Experience to the Royal Observatory for Geography and Horology Enthusiasts as well as common tourists. The visit to Cutty Sark is Worth Your Money as it's an experience in itself.
Hi There, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and feedback about your visit to the Royal Observatory and the Cutty Sark. As the two paid sites within Royal Museums Greenwich (The National Maritime Museum and Queen's House are free) you can purchase a Day Pass for a slight discount which allows entry to the Observatory and Cutty Sark on the same day. For horology enthusiasts who have visited the Observatory we also shout out the National Maritime Museum which displays the K2 Marine Timekeeper in it's Pacific Encounters Gallery.
This is the entrance ticket for Cutty Sark and Royal Observatory. It was a fun experience. We didn't have to wait in any lines. Everything went very smooth!
The Royal Observatory in Greenwich is one of London’s most fascinating historic sites—where science, time, and history all come together. The highlight, of course, is standing on the Prime Meridian Line (0° longitude), where the Eastern and Western Hemispheres meet. It’s a unique experience and a great photo spot! Inside the observatory, you’ll find amazing exhibitions on astronomy, navigation, and the history of timekeeping. The Great Equatorial Telescope and the historic timepieces, including John Harrison’s famous marine chronometers, are especially impressive. The location itself is stunning—perched at the top of Greenwich Park, it offers one of the best panoramic views of London, stretching across the River Thames and the city skyline. ✅ Educational and fun for all ages ✅ Incredible view from the top of the hill ✅ A must-visit for history and science lovers Whether you’re curious about astronomy, want to stand on the Prime Meridian, or just enjoy London’s heritage, the Royal Observatory is well worth the visit.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and feedback regarding your experience visiting the Royal Observatory. You have summed up our site in such a beautiful way that we are thrilled to hear you had such an insightful and meaningful visit with us. We are very proud of our site and the stories we tell, so it is always a bonus when visitors like yourself think the same! Our team shares stories of the Observatory, timekeeping and navigation from the Observatory's founding up to today. As the site is historic, there are some spaces that are accessible only by stairs (Octagon Room and Great Equatorial Telescope) however for those visiting who may not see these spaces, we encourage you to speak with staff who can give you information about these spaces as well as potentially provide some images. For those who visit with a particular interest in Astronomy and all things space, our Astronomy team have recently moved down to the National Maritime Museum temporarily whilst renovation works begin. There are experiences and Planetarium shows at the NMM so that our fantastic Astronomers can still deliver a brilliant experience to visitors. For more information please check out our website, specifically Astronomers Takeover
We were disappointed that we did not have a guide. But the staff at the obeservatory were great and very helpful.
It’s in a beautiful location with a rich history. We were able to be there for a couple of the talks by one of the volunteers. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. We loved it.
