Reisplan: 8:30 - 13:00 uur - Wat Phra Yai (grote Boeddhatempel) - Ontdek het opmerkelijkste religieuze monument in Samui en geniet van een prachtig panorama vanaf het terras waarop het beeld staat. Het uitzicht naar het noorden is prachtig en heeft de noordelijke kustlijn van Samui, met op de achtergrond Koh Phangan.
Lat Ko Viewpoint - is een van de beste en meest rechttoe rechtaan plaatsen in Samui om een prachtig panoramisch zicht op de zee en op de prachtige oostkust van het eiland te zien. Gelegen aan de kant van de ringweg tussen Lamai en Chaweng, kunt u uw fiets parkeren en wandelen over het geplaveide pad met uitzicht op de kustlijn, naar de zee.
- Hin Ta Hin Yai Rocks (Grandma and Grandpa Rocks) - Geblindeerde natuurlijke rotsformaties bekend om het feit dat ze een gelijkenis vertonen met mannelijke en vrouwelijke genitaliën.
- Wat Khunaram (Mummy Monk) - is een boeddhistische tempel op het eiland Ko Samui in de provincie Surat Thani, Thailand. Het is het meest opmerkelijk om het heiligdom te zijn van "de mummiemonnik", Luang Pho Daeng, die in 1973 stierf en regisseerde dat zijn lichaam tentoongesteld moest worden als herinnering aan de vergankelijkheid van het menselijk bestaan.
-Namuang waterval - zijn slechts een voorbeeld van de plaatsen om te zien. Mis deze tour niet als je alles wat het eiland te bieden heeft wilt ervaren. Om het gevoel van Koh Samui te krijgen, is deze tour een must! A whistle stop tour of the island ‘highlights’ which honestly, are not stupendous. Mr Nong our guide, and the driver, were very pleasant and did everything they could to make it a pleasant experience. Bottom line is that everywhere is full of tourists and your mini van jostles to park. The traffic is unrelenting (such is the island ) and a 5 hr tour became 1/4 short of 7 hrs due entirely to traffic. I suppose it beats just going there with a local cab, but that could have been more fun…..
Great trip if you don't want to be out all day. With barely 5 hours you can see some sights on Koh Samui.

Tour was quite standard, everything worked ok. The guide was good with her local attraction knowledge and English skills. The driver didn't speak a word of English. Admission fees don't exist in any places (promoted as paid) and the extra fee 20 bht is not covered in case you want to go up to view point af grandfather / grandmother rocks. It's not about the money, but principle. You will see all attractions as promised and AC equipped van was ok as well.
The tour guide gave us a lot of information about the island, showed a lot and was very knowledgeable, spoke English slowly, we should understand his Thailand accent.
Great touring experience with Nahn ( I believe that is the spelling). She was very knowledgeable and fun to have around. She took us around the island with beautiful visits to the Momified Monk Temple, Chabeng Beach, Waterfalls with feeding elephants, and beautiful viewpoints, and stones well-known in the area. Before leaving she gave us indications on restaurants before heading back to the ship. The only inconvenience was a hidden fee of $22.00 (approximately) per person for transportation when all was supposed to be included in the initial payment. Ask before booking this tour: otherwise excellent choice.
Tour guide didn't turn up, only a non-English speaking taxi driver. We only found out there was no English speaking guide when we arrived at the first stop. Then spent 90 minutes whilst the driver tried to find out from his company, I think, what was going on. I was then asked to speak to an unknown person who said I would need to pay another 1000 baht for an English speaking guide even though I had already paid for this service. Still no refund. Eventually we gave up and returned to the hotel -day ruined. One of the tour companies involved, and there seemed to be several, said ten days ago that a refund had been made, but it hasn't. Avoid! Avoid at all costs.
My tour guide was very informative. Since I was a solo traveler and it was just me and him for the day he did more than on the itinerary. He stopped the van and we picked cotton off the tree, I went into the waterfall, and most fun of all he left the main road and we went through the island instead of around it. We went all through the rain forest jungle. He stopped the van and let me take pictures whenever I wanted. It was an amazing day! Highly recommend!
I highly recommend this tour! The views, the experience, just perfect for a tour of all the special places that Koh Samui has to offer. The elephant trek at the waterfall is a must. My tour guide Mr Tony was very knowledgeable too!
Outing making the rounds of the main things to see in Koh Samui. Simple and efficient and leaves plenty of time to see well despite the rain we had that day
