Deze tour biedt gasten de kans om zich onder te dompelen in het rijke erfgoed en de cultuur van Oost-Kreta. Van een bezoek aan het traditionele Fourni-dorp, tot het stoppen bij het adembenemende uitzichtpunt van Spinalonga, tot het verkennen van het charmante stadje Agios Nikolaos en uiteindelijk het ervaren van het authentieke Kritsa-dorp, deze tour toont de gevarieerde schoonheid en geschiedenis van Oost-Kreta. Deze kleine groepsreis (beperkt tot 8 personen), gericht op de lokale cultuur, geschiedenis en traditie, biedt cruiseschipgasten en anderen die op zoek zijn naar een tour van een halve dag een unieke kans om een dieper inzicht en waardering voor het eiland Kreta te krijgen.

De eerste bestemming is de plaats Fourni (1 uur verwijderd van de haven van HEraklion). Fourni is een traditioneel Kretenzisch dorp met een rijke geschiedenis in de buurt van Agios Nikolaos. Bezoekers kunnen een ontspannen wandeling maken door het dorp, getuige zijn van de historische, traditionele architectuur en genieten van een kopje koffie of verse jus d'orange in een van de plaatselijke cafés.
De tour gaat dan verder naar Agios Nikolaos (bijna 1 uur verwijderd van het dorp Fourni), een stad aan de noordoostkust van Kreta. De weg naar de stad neemt een ongebruikelijke route en biedt een stop van 30 minuten bij een fantastisch uitkijkpunt van Spinalonga, een adembenemend eilandfort. Bezoekers kunnen de stad verkennen, het beroemde meer bezoeken en langs de haven wandelen. Agios Nikolaos is een populaire toeristische bestemming met een rijk cultureel erfgoed, charmante architectuur en een bruisende sfeer.
Kritsa is een charmant en traditioneel Kretenzisch dorp in de buurt van Agios Nikolaos (15 minuten). Tijdens dit bezoek kunnen gasten zich onderdompelen in de lokale cultuur en geschiedenis terwijl ze de smalle straatjes, schilderachtige huizen en prachtige kerken van het dorp verkennen. Kritsa staat bekend om zijn traditionele architectuur, ingewikkeld handgeweven textiel en rijke geschiedenis, waardoor het een must-visit bestemming is voor diegenen die geïnteresseerd zijn in de Kretenzische cultuur en erfgoed. Na een bezoek aan het dorp Kritsa is het 1 uur rijden terug naar de haven van Heraklion.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Ophalen bij de haven van Heraklion: buiten het centraal havenstation. Ophaalservice vanaf Nikos Kazantzakis Airport: gelegen buiten de aankomsthal aan de rechterkant. Zoek naar een klein poortje en een zebrapad dat naar de andere kant van de hoofdweg leidt, waar je het busstation vindt. Je wordt opgehaald bij dat busstation. Voor uw gemak bespreken we de ophaalpunten met elke gast afzonderlijk. Ophaalservice bij elk hotel: buiten het hotel (als de grootte van het voertuig het mogelijk maakt om buiten het hotel te parkeren), anders bespreken we met de gasten wat de handigste plek is om opgehaald te worden.

Our tour and day with Elana were FANTASTIC. Elena showed and taught us so much about Crete in general and made each town we visited come alive with her stories. The villages we visited were breathtaking. Elana was very kind, patient and a really good driver. Absolutely no regrets with this very memorable day and tour.

We loved the tour Elena designed for us (family of four persons). She was a very pleasant guide with a lot of attention to our needs, and a lot of explanation of the sights we passed. We have made wonderful memories. Elena knew the perfect spots to take pictures. She told us a lot about the history of the towns we visited. And the tour was organized on a very short notice, but it was perfect.
This was a very well organised tour , well organised port also . Our guide Helen was extremely informative and gave a really good insight to Crete and life on Crete.We enjoyed the small Villages , coffee Salad and Wine plus Souvlaki What a wonderful way to live a relaxed life . We purchased a hand made linen table cloth and a real leather belt as memories We cannot thank Cherry Travel enough and Helen . We thoroughly recommend and only wish we had 4 days or more , so will be back

This was one of the best tours we had while on our cruise. We were able to see sites as well as small, local villages that the big cruise bus tours can’t take you. Our tour guide, Helena was very knowledgeable about Greek history and made our visit to Crete very memorable. Highly recommend this tour!
