Deze wandeling begint in de wereldberoemde Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, tegen de oostelijke hellingen van de Tafelberg. Hier brengt Geoff het landschap tot leven aan de hand van verhalen van de Khoi Khoi mensen die ooit in harmonie met de natuur door deze regio trokken en leefden van de rijke diversiteit aan inheemse planten en waterbronnen van de Kaap. Terwijl de wandeling door eeuwenoude bomen, schaduwrijke paden en het buitengewone fynbos van het Cape Floral Kingdom slingert, ontdekken gasten de botanische, culturele en historische betekenis van deze opmerkelijke tuin. Onderweg vertelt Geoff verhalen over traditionele plantengeneeskunde, vroege Kaapse geschiedenis en de visie die Kirstenbosch transformeerde in een van 's werelds grootste botanische tuinen. Dit is meer dan een mooie wandeling. Het is een reis naar de natuurlijke ziel en het levende erfgoed van de Kaap.

We beginnen onze reis in het hart van Kirstenbosch, omgeven door de schoonheid van inheemse fynbos en bos. We wandelen onder eeuwenoude bomen terwijl de verhalen van het land en zijn eerste volkeren zich om ons heen ontvouwen. We leren hoe de Khoi en San deze planten gebruikten voor genezing, voeding en overleving. We stijgen uit boven het bladerdak op de Boomslang loopbrug en genieten van een adembenemend uitzicht op de Tafelberg. Beautiful well kept gardens. Spacious with plenty of seating about. There was a lot of information about the plants and trees . The backdrop of table mountain made it even better
My walk from Kirstenbosch to Constantia with Geoff was one of the highlights of my time in Cape Town. The experience was far more than just a walk. Geoff brought the landscape to life with fascinating stories about the history of the Cape, the indigenous plants of the fynbos, traditional medicinal uses, and the rich heritage of the Constantia wine region. His knowledge, passion, and ability to connect people with the environment made the journey truly memorable. The route through Kirstenbosch and the surrounding forests was breathtaking, with spectacular views of Table Mountain and Constantia Valley. The day was perfectly paced, with plenty of opportunities to stop, learn, take photographs, and enjoy the scenery. The wine tasting and lunch at the end were the perfect reward after a beautiful morning outdoors. Everything was professionally organised, and Geoff's warm personality made everyone feel welcome. If you're looking for an authentic Cape Town experience that combines nature, history, culture, and wine, I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. A five-star experience from start to finish.

The Kirstenbosch to Constantia Wine Walk was one of the most unique and memorable experiences we had in Cape Town. From the very beginning, Geoff made the day feel relaxed, personal, and incredibly special. A lovely stroll through Kirstenbosch Gardens and Yellow Wood forest. Geoff and Nahla were fantastic hosts and guides. They really brought the experience to life with their knowledge of the flora, fauna and history of the area. The wine tasting at Groot Consantia was an excellent end to the morning's experience.
