________ LET OP : Dit is een zelfstandige audiotour en GEEN toegangsticket voor de Botanische Tuin Kirstenbosch. Tickets moeten apart worden gekocht bij de toegangspoort of vooraf op Webtickets. ________ Wandel door de spectaculaire lagere hellingen van de Botanische Tuin Kirstenbosch met deze betaalbare tour. • Ontdek de prachtige Garden of Extinction en de geurtuin • Hoor van producent Jeanette Clarke, een onderzoeker • Doe het allemaal in 45 minuten of blijf hangen bij haltes onderweg met volledige controle over wanneer je begint en eindigt • Krijg onbeperkt gebruik voor uw boekingsdatum en na het Zodra je geboekt hebt, ontvang je een ticket met instructies en een unieke code die vermeld staan onder “Voor je vertrekt”. Installeer dan gewoon de VoiceMap app en voer je code in. De app geeft een routebeschrijving naar het startpunt weer en als je op de juiste plek bent, klap je gewoon je koptelefoon in en tik je op start. De tour neemt je mee op een wandeltocht die begint en eindigt net buiten het Kirstenbosch Tearoom Restaurant bij Gate 2. Start de tour in de app, stop je telefoon in je zak en laat je gids je door de tuinen leiden. De totale loopafstand is ongeveer 2 km en duurt ongeveer een uur zonder te stoppen, maar u kunt op elk moment pauzeren om uit te rusten en uw omgeving te bewonderen. Er zijn een aantal bankjes langs de route en ook schaduwrijke plekjes op de uitgestrekte groene grasvelden waar u kunt picknicken. Belangrijke bezienswaardigheden en attracties zijn onder andere: • De tuin van uitsterven • De geurtuin • Nuttige plantencollectie • Erica-bedden • Vogelspool • Cycad-verzameling • De Centenary Tree Canopy Walkway • Het arboretum en de haag van Van Riebeeck • Mathews Rockery (verzameling aloë en succulenten) • Het concertpodium • Lente bloembedden (een must in augustus september) • Zimbabwe Stone Sculpture Garden De exacte route is te zien bij het downloaden van de tour en audio van de tour kan op elk moment worden beluisterd. Na het downloaden werkt de tour geheel offline.

Botanical garden not to be missed during your visit to South Africa, rich in history, amenities, panoramic views of the mountains and gardens from a superb Boomsland footbridge, 130m long enough to delight pupils.
An excellent 'double header' day out if combined with Table Mountain. You can walk in either direction or drive likewise. Kirstenboch is truly awesome and well worth a visit when in town. I think I'm correct when I say it is an aspect Cape Floral UNESCO Heritage site. The stunning views, pleasant walks and proximity to town makes this world class and world famous icon well worth visiting.
Beautiful gardens. Wish we had more time to explore but we had another appointment scheduled. I would spend 2.5-4 hours exploring. We had less than 2 hours and it was not enough. The grounds are on the side of the mountain so some uphill walking but at a slow and steady pace very doable for anyone. A must see while visiting Cape Town area.
I loved walking on The Bridge ❤️ and seeing the amazing views. Hearing the water and the birds was relaxing 😍
In autumn you can get an impression of this magnificent plant - but there is little flowering. But with your eyes open you can find many interesting highlights - especially the birds...
Paid for the audio and they don’t offer this service anymore! Terrible- they had to ask a manager what it was! So I wasted my money and time trying to get it straightened out!

An absolute MUST if you are in Cape Town. The seemingly endless trails of spectacular plants, bushes, trees and flowers are striking. We really enjoyed visiting these superb gardens.
We had visited the gardens over 15 years ago in November so a revisit was always our intention. We were blown away by the sheer scale of this area with it’s amazing vistas of the mountains and awesome views over to the city. It was a shame that both the bird of paradise and the protea had finished flowering and the agapanthus was going over but this made us appreciate the green ! The sky walk is a fantastic addition and the food at the restaurant was delicious.
