Backwoods Island camping
Used the canoe for backwoods camping on an island. Great service, but the canoe doesn't have a keel, so is a bit hard to control in waves and wind, but it was comfortable and roomy.

Deze reis is het meest geschikt voor gezinnen met kinderen jonger dan 10 jaar, of mensen met een krap tijdsbudget, of mensen die een avontuur willen met minder toewijding aan activiteit. Dit is een volledig begeleid 2-daags backcountry kano avontuur. Ervaring is niet nodig, minimaal tot geen portering, geschikt voor iedereen. Deze reis is geen backcountry slog - onze belangrijkste focus is de tijd doorgebracht op kamp, dus dit is vooral perfect voor jonge gezinnen of mensen die beperkte tijd hebben en willen ontspannen. Ik beveel deze reis als je jonge kinderen hebt! Onze Keji Kanotocht begint met een rendez-vous op ons hoofdkwartier bij Jake's Landing. We pakken je spullen weer in in onze waterproofs, lunchen snel (wij zorgen hiervoor!) en gaan dan de wildernis in. Op warme dagen zwemmen we misschien vanuit een kanoflottielje, of vangen we wat schaduw en een snack onder een oude groei-hemlockboom. We streven ernaar luxe en comfort te combineren met het onvergetelijke landschap van Nova Scotia om een avontuur te creëren dat perfect is voor iedereen om van te genieten.

Into the wild … and back
Really great experience with Caroline. It was the perfect mix of sport, adventure, relaxation, great food and fun. Really liked the légère atmosphere and yet how meticulously everything had been planned before. Highly recommend.

Very easy to book and helpful staff
Easy to book with and very helpful. This is my second time booking a canoe for a few nights in the Keji backcountry and I was surprised at how much the rental fees increased since I last booked in 2023. But if you aren’t able to borrow or buy a canoe ahead of time, Whynot definitely makes it an easy and smooth experience.

Big Dam Loop at Keji
Wife and I did a 2 night loop at Big Dam with our dog. Was a great loop and not too demanding. Whynot has all the gear you need, they were super friendly, and were helpful with portage recommendations. They even get us a lift from Jake’s landing to Big Dam to start the loop. Look forward to coming back and booking with them again!

Canoeing at its best
A fantastic tour with a super nice friendly and knowledgeable guide (Dylan) who also proved to be a perfect cook. A great tour through wonderful landscape. Beautiful camping spot, offering plenty of swimming in the lake. My wife and me and our grown up daughters enjoyed ourselves immensely!
