We booked train tickets from Kandy to Ella on the 18th of November 2023 to travel on the 29th of December 2023. Reached out to the operator just to make sure everything will be in order before we arrive and his answer was they cannot confirm as it’s busy season bearing in mind we paid 100$ for this and was booked way in advance and they blamed it on the railway department. We were already panicked and stressed now we cancelled and waiting a refund. So unreliable and so unethical ruined our trip before it even started.
One of the most scenic hikes in Sri Lanka, located in Udadumbara, Kalugala. Called as Hikers Heaven and it is the best way to describe the location. This mountain range consists of two main hikes. Kehelpothdoruwa peaks and Yahangala. Yahangala is a Strenuous hiking and you need to take a guide. Kehelpothdoruwa is hiking some peaks and moderate level. You will be tracking through the edges of peaks. There are 3,4 peaks to complete.
