Kastelen Neuschwanstein en Hohenschwangau uit München

Reis door het prachtige Beierse platteland, met zijn bergen en dorpen, in een moderne bus met airconditioning naar twee van de beroemde koninklijke kastelen van koning Ludwig II, het familiekasteel van Hohenschwangau en het sprookjesachtige kasteel van Neuschwanstein. Deze prachtige gebouwen, nu UNESCO Werelderfgoed, kunnen worden bezocht tijdens een rondleiding in het Engels (entreegelden niet inbegrepen). Onder begeleiding van een professionele Engels sprekende Gids wordt deze dag een onvergetelijke ervaring waarbij u zich nergens zorgen over hoeft te maken. Je hebt ook vrije tijd tussen de optionele kasteelrondleidingen om naar een restaurant te gaan, souvenirs te kopen en de beroemde Marienbrug te bezoeken (als het weer het toelaat).

We ontmoeten elkaar om 8.45 uur in de Sonnenstrasse 1, 80331 München. Daar vindt u een tourbus met de aanduiding “Mentor Reisen” en onze vriendelijke chauffeur en Gids verwelkomen u bij het inchecken. We vertrekken om 9:15 uur en rijden langs verschillende bezienswaardigheden van München (die de Gids zal uitleggen) op weg naar de eerste stop Hohenschwangau.
Eerst kunt u een rondleiding door kasteel Hohenschwangau volgen (extra vergoeding afhankelijk van de optie). Gebouwd in de 12e eeuw, werd het kasteel in 1832 aangekocht door de familie van koning Ludwig II en herbouwd in neogotische stijl. Het diende als zomer- en jachtverblijf van de koninklijke familie.
Dit kasteel kunt u bezoeken met een rondleiding binnen voor een extra vergoeding (optioneel)
De Marienbrug is te bezoeken, van waaruit je een geweldig uitzicht hebt op kasteel Neuschwanstein. In de winter is de brug meestal gesloten om veiligheidsredenen.
Dit meer ligt direct naast kasteel Hohenschwangau. U kunt hem bezoeken in de vrije beschikbare tijd. Ook geschikt om te baden in de zomer.

Elof was our guide and he was amazing. He knows exactly what he is doing and even had a recommended schedule for us, which was spot on. He gave us a lot of great recommendations for how to go about the day including where to eat and order of attractions. He was extremely knowledgable and kind. We were a family of eight, including an infant, and the entire Neuschwanstein experience was very well organised from start to finish. Our guide, Marleen, was definitely one of the highlights. Knowledgeable, warm and genuinely humorous, she brought the stories and history to life without making it feel like a history lesson. But when it came to timings, there was no negotiation! She kept everyone on schedule, and honestly, that's probably why the whole day ran so smoothly. Joachim, our driver, was equally wonderful. Friendly, professional and made the journey comfortable, especially the relaxing drive back after a long day. The only thing that wasn't on our side was the weather. It was surprisingly hot, particularly with an infant, but that's obviously something nobody can control. Everything else was excellent. Beautiful scenery, an incredible castle, plenty of laughs and a very well managed day. Marleen and Joachim made the experience even more memorable for our family. Highly recommended. And one piece of advice... if Marleen gives you a meeting time, don't test her! 😂👏

Visiting time for both castles were way too strict. The visit was still worth it. It's probably more enjoyable during other months. Marleen was the guide, very good preparation. Joachim was the driver, smooth travel, nothing to say.

Really great experience, Marleen the guide was so lovely and the driver did a great job of driving slowly when Marleen pointed something out on the journey. The palace and castle were absolutely incredible to see. Having all of the transport sorted for you made the day super easy - I would definitely recommend this trip!

We purchased the with tickets included option. The transportation is the biggest part of the expense. This was a very long tour for only having a half hour tour of each castle. The bus ride is two hours each way. Wish I had driven ourselves so that we could have enjoyed the villages that we drive through. We felt rush most of the day. May have been able to have had a nicer lunch but we were afraid of being late to the next tour. Our guide Barbara was lovely and our driver did give us a nice smooth ride.
You arrived by bus in Hohenschwangau at 11:30 a.m. and were scheduled to depart at 5:40 p.m. If you felt rushed during this 6-hour period, we are very sorry. The tour of Hohenschwangau Castle takes 45 minutes, and the tour of Neuschwanstein Castle takes 30 minutes, as described in the tour itinerary. We deliberately avoid making additional stops in other towns so that no one feels rushed.
