Kanotocht onder de middernachtzon & zonsondergang vanuit Rovaniemi

We had a great time with Chris our tour guide on this outing. We pushed the start time from 20:00 to 21:00 due to the wind and that was the right decision. Chris drove us to the river where he shared the basics on how to canoe and then we headed out. We canoed for about 8km in total and stopped along the way for some blueberry juice and bakery treats. The sunset was beautiful and Chris took pictures that he shared at the end. While the mosquitoes were not too bad, I regretted not applying bug spray before departing. Great tour and experience.

100% loved this experience!! Highly recommended. Our Midnight Sun canoe trip with Chris from Nordic Odyssey was an absolute highlight of our time in Rovaniemi and of our whole trip in the Nordics. Chris is an amazing guide. His knowledge of the Arctic landscape, passion for nature, culture and thoughtful answers to our questions really bought the surroundings to life. Your level of experience is no problem for this trip. Chris made sure the experience was tailored to our abilities providing the perfect blend of adventure and enjoyment of the surroundings. The Finish inspired snack and drink were also much appreciated. We would highly recommend this magical experience to anyone visiting the region. It's an amazing way to see the beautiful Arctic landscape and midnight sun from a new and unforgettable perspective. Thankyou so much Chris.

Had 8 people on this trip and we had a blast! Guide was knowledgeable and informative, also fun. Was a bit cool and rainy, but not that big a deal. If canoeing is something you’ve never done, don’t worry. You get a quick lesson on the shore and the guide is always close by and watching. Definitely worth the time!

We booked the three hour canoe trip with Nordic Odyssey and met with Chris and Camille, our guides, at 21:00hrs. We had the perfect weather with lots of sun and no wind. We had initially booked at a different day and time, however they kept monitoring the weather, especially the wind, and then suggested a different day to make it more enjoyable for us and ensure safety was given. Conditions that evening could have not been better. We explored the lake and different little inlets and got some information from our guides of the surroundings and then had a break with some snacks and juice. It was the perfect tour and we would highly recommend it.

Very magical to see the midnight sun, excellent activity choice for the summer season. Chris was a great guide, lots of knowledge about the area and surrounding nature. Communication with the company was excellent too.

I was a little nervous about going canoing, because I'd never even held an oar before. Luckily, it is a great experience even for complete beginners, and we all had a ton of fun rowing along the river and taking in the sights. There were some minor mishaps along the way, but honestly they just added to the fun. ^_^ Martin, our guide, was very helpful and patient in showing everyone the best ways to row and steer. I recommend this trip to anyone who wants to experience Rovaniemi by water.
