Had a brilliant time today, we really enjoyed our time!! Sean was an amazing guide - friendly and helpful and made the experience even better!! Would recommend!!
We've been coming to Kilkee for years but had somehow never tried the kayaking tour with Nevsail. I can't believe we waited so long! It was my first time kayaking, so I was a bit nervous, but our guide Charlie was brilliant. He explained everything clearly before we set off, made sure we felt safe and confident, and was great craic throughout the tour. My husband and I hired a double kayak, which was so much fun! All the equipment was provided, including wetsuits, and although the tour was advertised as 1½ hours, we were out for almost 2 hours because the sea was so calm. That meant Charlie was able to bring us into several sea caves, which were absolutely stunning and definitely the highlight of the trip. As we paddled along the coast towards the Diamond Rocks, he also shared lots of interesting information about the area, which made the experience even better. The scenery was incredible, with crystal-clear water, jellyfish drifting below us, and colourful sea anemones covering the cave walls. Seeing them up close was amazing and it's such a unique way to experience Kilkee from a completely different perspective. It was excellent value for money, and I'd recommend it to couples, solo travellers and families with older children. I probably wouldn't recommend it for very young children, as it can get a bit choppier near the mouth of the bay and you do need enough strength to keep paddling. A couple of tips: bring dry clothes and a towel because you will get wet! I'd also recommend wearing swim shoes or flip-flops, as there are weever fish in the sand and they're more comfortable than bare feet when you're bracing yourself against the kayak. A lovely touch was that Charlie offered to take photos throughout the trip with his own camera and sent them to us afterwards, so we could enjoy the experience without worrying about our phones. If you do bring your own camera or phone, make sure it's in a proper waterproof case—but remember, if you end up in the water, there's no guarantee it'll survive! We absolutely loved every minute of it and would do it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend, especially if you've never kayaked before!

Kayaking trip in kilkee which I was told we would visit caves, do some jumping from the rocks....all couldn't be done because of weather (the weather was bight and sunny) which makes it a lot of money to paddle around the bay. Very disappointed over all.
Hi Margaret, Thank you very much for that feedback we do really appreciate it. We constantly try to improve and your feedback is important to us and both positive and negative comments help us grow. Perhaps I could try explaining to you that this was the case because of the wind and sea swell on the day we could not do the coasteering and caves. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee this on our Kilkee kayaking tours. There are many daily checks on weather conditions and just because the weather was bright and sunny, unfortunately this does not take the wind and swell conditions into consideration when we were out on the water and this would have made it very unsafe to kayak into the caves or do some coasteering. Safety is our top priority always and we do not put anyone in a dangerous situation. Nevsail does reserve the right to update/modify our sessions and activities to make sure that every ones safety is number one and this is highlighted in our websites terms and conditions also. 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids went on a kayaking tour with Sean in Nevsail Kilkee over the weekend. Great experience. Sean was very friendly and informative. He brought us along the caves on both sides of the bay and we finished up with a swim at a natural rock pool called Tuckers, before heading back to shore. Highly recommended!

Oh what a great experience , what a cool adventure we had, first time for me any kind of kayaking but our guide Charlie was awesome and made the whole time great fun and very educational with cool local stories and wildlife insights. I thought the waves were 50 ft high but alas I was informed it bearly classed as a ripple 😁 thanks Charlie for taking great care of us. Highly recommend trying this.

We were on the kayaking tour on Monday . Steven was our guide , he was very helpful.They gave us wetsuits which was great . Can't believe I'm in Ireland kayaking around a castle ! Thankyou !

The kayaking was such fun and Harry was amazing, we did bits of history and fun games. Both myself and my daughter loved it and can't recommend Harry enough. If you have the time and want to do something different then I would definitely say try it. Thank you Harry

Me (Dad) and my 3 kids (15, 14 and 9) did the kayak tour in Kilkee and we really had a great time. Our instructor Chazzy was great - knew lots about the bay - and more importantly he gave us lots of games to play! We had two double kayaks which added a bit of a competitiveness to it all and it was such fun. Really recommend it all.
