Een must om te bezoeken tijdens een rondreis door Kaapstad. Van panoramische uitzichten en activiteiten tot waar Mandela gevangen zat. Robbeneiland-tour & Tafelberg-rondleiding. Deze tour is inclusief Robbeneiland, toegang tot de Tafelberg en vervoer heen en terug vanaf je accommodatie in Kaapstad, voor een probleemloze reis. Houd er rekening mee dat: Geef ons bij het boeken het volgende door: - Een paspoort- of ID-nummer (voor Zuid-Afrikaanse burgers) - Een noodnummer Deze informatie is puur voor SAMSA-compliance en zal met niemand anders worden gedeeld dan de kapitein van de veerboot naar Robbeneiland. Als het weer het niet toelaat om de tour door te laten gaan, kun je een andere dag plannen. Als u moet worden opgehaald of weggebracht, wordt er een toeslag van R250,00 in rekening gebracht.

Bij het lagere kabelstation zullen we ons aansluiten bij een rij toeristen om op de vijf minuten durende kabelbaantocht naar de top van de Tafelberg, 1 067 meter boven de zeespiegel, te gaan en de top te verkennen. U vindt er een zelfbedieningsrestaurant, Table Mountain Café, met een scala aan eten en drinken, snacks, desserts en wijnen. De Tafelberg is een geweldige plek om te zitten en te genieten van het indrukwekkende 360-graden uitzicht op Kaapstad, de Tafelbaai, de nabijgelegen toppen van de omliggende bergen en de rest van het Nationaal Park Tafelberg, waar de kabelbaan zich bevindt. Eenmaal op de top zijn er 3 routes die je kunt kiezen om met de gids te doen: DASSIE WANDELING (15 min) AGAMA-WANDELING (30 min) KLIPSPRINGER WANDELING (45 min)
De veerboten vertrekken vanaf de Nelson Mandela Gateway aan de V&A Waterfront. (Houd er rekening mee dat onze gids niet met je meegaat tijdens de rondleiding door het Robbeneiland-museum.) Je stapt uit bij Murray's Bay Harbor, gelegen aan de oostkust van het eiland, en maakt een korte wandeling naar bussen die jou en een groep mensen naar alle historische bezienswaardigheden rond het eiland zullen brengen. Op weg naar de bussen passeer je gebouwen en een hoge muur die in de jaren zestig door gevangenen is gebouwd. De gevangenistour wordt geleid door een Robbeneiland Tour Guide. Ze zijn volledig vertrouwd en goed geïnformeerd over de meerlagige 500 jaar oude geschiedenis van het eiland. De tourroute omvat het kerkhof van mensen die stierven aan lepra, de Lime Quarry, het huis van Robert Sobukwe, de Bluestone-groeve, de leger- en marinebunkers en de Maximum Security Prison waar duizenden Zuid-Afrikaanse vrijheidsstrijders jarenlang werden opgesloten. De tour wordt afgesloten met een bezichtiging van de cel van Nelson Mandela.

Amazing… pure history and to be shown around by one of the previous inmates was incredible. Always try and get the 9am boat to robben island. We were lucky and got the only boat of the day. The crossing can be choppy and if it’s too bad all will be cancelled Table mountain was breathtaking. Our guide Chris was excellent

Coordinating with driver, and port operations made for a missed departure and having to buy new tickets for a later time lead to a long day and frustrating experience

After carefully investigating the situation, and looking at the evidence provided by our driver/guide and the emails sent to you. You were given a pick up time and received your tickets 21 days before your tour. The driver/guide contacted you the day before your tour, to reconfirm a pick up time of 8:00am. On the day of the tour, We see on his call log he was there at 7:45am and tried to contact you, he even sent you a Whatsapp image of how he looks and where he was standing waiting for you. You called him back at 8:07am stating you were late. At 8:29am Our pick up driver tried to contact you 6 times. The Ferry to Robben Island left at 9:00. You met him after 9:00. Could you let us know from our side what We could of done differently?
Thought it was a group tour and was happy that it was another personal tour. ‘Said’ our driver and guide Was delightful and pleasant and made Our experience one too remember.

Thought this would be with a group pick up but surprised when we ended up with our own personal driver for the day. Escorted us through to the Robben Island tour which was excellent and then transported us to Table Mountain. Great day and made Very easy by Said our driver.
