Lion's Head is een vrijstaande piek naast de Tafelberg, met een hoogte van 669 m boven zeeniveau. De route draait helemaal rond om je 360-graden panoramische uitzichten te geven. De uitzichten omvatten de Tafelberg, Devil's Peak, Robbeneiland, de Tafelbaai, Camps Bay en de stad. Er zijn wat ladders, kettingen en nietjes om over te onderhandelen, wat bijdraagt aan het gevoel van avontuur. Het dient ook als een geweldig alternatief voor wanneer de Tafelberg bedekt is met wolken. Deze route is vooral populair bij zonsopgang.

An experience of a class of its own - especially if you want to experience the awakening of a metropolis in wonderful nature with an experienced guide.
We booked this at the very last minute but Ute but Lynette was very accommodating. It was great fun hiking up in the dark/ semi dark and Lynette was knowledgeable, entertaining and encouraging. It was a scramble at the top but she showed us exactly what to do and it was less challenging than I feared! I saw afterwards that this was more expensive than other tours on booking.com but I have no regret as we had a top quality guide.
We went for sunrise up on Lions head. First of all, all communication with OTC was perfect. Kathy our guide was super, she was on time, she was friendly and was packed full of information, we learnt alot. All in all it was a great experience
I have been hiking on Cape Town for over 15 years. The last 8 I have always been guided by Lynette from OTC Adventures. Lynette is the most professional and knowledgeable guide I have come across. Lynette is an amazing guide with exceptional experience & abundance of knowledge about flora, fauna & the history of Cape Town. Lynette paced the hike to suit us & made it achievable. This is a must do hike if you’re in Cape Town!
Lynette was a fantastic guide. We did the sunrise lions head hike with her. I (24F) travelled with my 17 year old sister so having a guide who made us feel safe, especially hiking in the dark, was very important. Lynette was very kind and experienced and ensured we were safe the whole route. We got a fantastic view at the top and enjoyed it thoroughly. Thank you!
