Deze rondleiding toont het Joodse erfgoed in Warschau. De stadsgids toont niet alleen de verschrikkingen van de Tweede Wereldoorlog, maar vertelt ook over het leven en werk van de Warschau-joden vanaf het begin tot aan de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Waar kwamen de joden vandaan, waar woonden ze, wat doen ze en hoe was hun relatie met de niet-joodse bevolking? Een boeiend verhaal met veel specialistische kennis, maar ook tal van anegdotes. De gids is zeer toeristisch vriendelijk en er is geen voorkennis vereist om de vertelling te volgen.

Ons verzamelpunt is op Plac Grzybowski. Het Joodse leven in Warschau had hier zijn middelpunt. Slechts een deel van de aangrenzende ulica Prozna is overgebleven. Bovendien bevindt de laatst overgebleven synagoge van de Joodse gemeenschap in Warschau zich om de hoek.
Janusz Korczak was destijds de bekendste persoonlijkheid in Warschau.
Plac Centralny was de zuidelijke grens van het Joodse getto. Er is hier geen enkel gebouw dat herinnert aan de tijd van vóór 1939. De contouren van de oude straten zijn echter nog steeds op de grond te zien.
Deze verborgen hoek is een van de laatste stille getuigen van de Shoah in Warschau.
Het laatste stuk van de gettomuur staat midden in de zakenwijk van Warschau. Het maakt deel uit van een flatgebouw en is een monumentaal pand.
In Chlodna Street was een loopbrug van het grote naar het kleine getto. Tegenwoordig staat er een monument met oude foto's. De gids zal ook oude foto's bij zich hebben.

I took the Jewish Quarter tour with Robert and the Old Town tour with Antek. Both tours were wonderful - interesting, informative and really told the story behind the places we went through. Robert and Antek were really great guides, each with their own personal touch, very knowledgeable and both kept the groups fascinated through the entire time. It's obvious they love what they do for a living. Thanks Antek and Robert! Hope to meet you next time I'm in the city :)
We booked the Jewish ghetto free tour yesterday morning for the afternoon in English. Nikki g was easy, email confirmation and started on time. Our guide Robert introduced us to the square and was very clear and easily to understand. Very knowledgable and related the info to various people that had an impact - can recommend this tour. Fair bit of walking but was expected. Would consider other tours with this company if in Warsaw again. Thanks Robert!
Robert was a truly amazing guide. He provided very detailed information regarding each site that we visited, and read poignant quotes and poems from important figures from Jewish history in Warsaw. I left the tour with a much greater understanding of the history of the Warsaw Ghetto. Robert happily answered my numerous questions regarding genealogy/Warsaw, so this was a huge added bonus! An informative and personalized tour of Jewish Warsaw that bridged the pre-war period, through the difficult WW2 period and into the post-war period through to the present.
